Picked up a 25 ST a little over a month ago. Not my first Ford so I already had an idea of what I wanted to add going in. My other Ford is 2019 F150 XLT Sport (3.5 Ecoboost) that I Raptor swapped and now in the process of long travel and links. Lots of mods on that thing. It's the one with the light bar on the roof. Lots of desert running when I was in California.

So far I have installed a Thermal 3" (fit great), CVFab intercooler and piping (a little manipulation for the piping) and a Velossa Tech Big Mouth (fits with modification to mounting screws, the plastic shroud is shaped different and doesn't follow the provided drill template). Awaiting delivery of the Steeda differential brace and bushings, as well as the 12.9 bolt for the JXB insert).

Also removed the Explorer lettering and added the Emblem City black out badges, along with a couple Forscan changes.

Thanks everyone for the welcome.

So first mistake on the Explorer so far, removed the shutters after installing the intercooler (same process I did when I installed my COBB intercooler on my truck) now the CEL is stuck on for "Active Grille Shutter "A" Position".

Doesn't bother me as I know what it's for, but I guess once tuning is available that will be next on the list. I should have done some more research before I tackled it in hindsight.

Yeah you’re supposed to just pop off the shutters and keep the assembly. Not really any extra flow benefit, so I’m curious as to why you did this?

That is what I did, just the shutters removed. Slide bracket and motors are still installed/connected.

I followed the same process as my F150. That requires the entire shutter assembly to be removed and cut out, then you relocate the motors but keep them plugged in.

Other than having to take the front end back apart, I still have all the parts to reinstall if needed.

That’s odd. I’m wondering how you’re getting a code then.

I plan on taking it apart again in the future to add a better mounting bracket for the big mouth. So I will take a look and see what's going on.

Did you need to recalibrate the cameras after removing grill/bumper for emblem installation?

You shouldn't need to reprogram anything.

Thanks, assumed I wouldn’t need to based on what I’d seen but figured it didn’t hurt to ask. Appreciate your quick response.

I didn't reprogram anything, only got a CEL for removing the shutters. That was my mistake, but at this point I no longer plan on taking the front end apart again. Just gonna wait it out for tuning.

I installed the FenFab subframe lockout kit recently, still working out when I want to do the pinion bushings and rear brace

Just got this reply from Emblem City, “ Yes I found through an independent ADAS calibration company that removing the front bumper would per Ford require a 360 camera calibration.”

I've seen a lot of people do emblem swaps and intercooler installs that required front bumper removal, never have I seen them have to recalibrate their cameras.

Yeah, so both are probably true, right? You don’t actually need to do it and per Ford you need to do it. Wonder if it messes with Bluecruise if you don’t?

Like I said, there have been so many intercooler and emblem swaps and no one has mentioned recalibrating the cameras. Because of that I don't think you will need to do it.
