Ok. Definitely changing to longer studs then. And you were right, pretty much right up against strut body. About a 1/4" away.
You’re probably better off going with a spacer like Bora offers and everyone uses on the stock wheels.

I will check those out too. Still a slip on though and would need to replace the studs I think. The Bora bolt on spacers start at 19mm from what I can tell on their website. I will call them tomorrow.

Oh yeah, didn’t think about that.

Decided to just go with the Voxx Road Wheel Modena rims. Not the best but they will due for winter.
View attachment 25947
They are 9" wide so I can fit a 285/50R20 and get a little wider than what I have now. I will revisit this in the spring and go with a 22x10" and a 305 tire for summer. I need tires that are going to be ok in the snow and there doesn't seem to be much of a selection in all-season tires in that size. I searched through the forums but couldn't find any recommendations for good AS tires. A couple people asked but no one answered. I've never run Bridgestone before but the Alenza AS Ultra seem to get good reviews. Any of you Northern folk have any recommendations?

Please post some photos when installed.

Of course rims are back ordered and are 4 to 6 weeks out! So I decided to go with these:

They are a +30 offset so should look pretty good. Going to wrap them with the Bridgestones.

Oh man, I really liked your first pick. I think that goes along with the fact that I really like the OE wheel. I know winter is coming, but if it weren't for that, I'd have told you the best things in life are worth waiting for.

I have the worst luck! Just checking my email and the rep emailed me and said they only had four in stock and one is damaged! Same time frame to get another one. I can get the original rims at Fitment Industries but they don’t have the tires I want. So I either wait the 4-6 weeks or get the rims from one place and the tires from another and pay to have them mounted/balanced. Only other option is to get the Niche rims which are $170/rim more! Are they that much better?

It’s not that bad to pay for mount and balance for tires. I think I payed $85 at a discount Tire to do what you described.

No, it's not that bad. It's $30/wheel to mount and balance then $5/TPM. I went through and added everything up and by the time I buy the TMP's, hubcentric rings and then mount and balance, I would almost be at their price anyway! Now the rep is telling me it will be more like 3 to 4 week at the most to get the Modena rims so I just said "screw it" and told him to order them. They will mount/balance the tires, install the TMP's, provide the hubcentric rings free and throw in a set of black lug nuts (I have my own McGard though). This way I get everything from one place and all I need to do is put them on the vehicle.

Well, as my luck goes, I had to cancel my order. My sister was in a bad accident and I need to fly my mom and myself to North Carolina. She was T-boned by a teen texting! She is going to be ok but she is in ICU right now with internal injuries and a broken pelvic bone. So rims will just have to wait until after the first of the year.

Pic is brutal. As somebody whose first car was a 68 Mustang death trap, I am amazed at the engineering and safety designed into cars these days.

Of course it was a teenager. She must've been going at a very decent speed when she hit her. That's crazy, never like seeing that, but glad the car protected her okay.

Yep! She never hit the brakes! My brother-in-law, who was also in the car, said the first thing the cops did was look at her phone and determined she was in the middle of a text when the wreck occured! Not all, but a lot of the kids these days have no fear or respect for anything! I picked up my daughter from school the other day and one of the other students followed us out of the parking lot and then was right on my bumper for about a mile or so. I finally got so pissed that I stopped and got out and yelled at her! All she had to say was, "F*ck you A*# hole! Get out of my way!" Then a little ways up the road she passes me over a double yellow line and almost hits the car in front of me that was turning! I told my daughter, "If I ever find out you're driving like that I'll take the truck away so fast and you'll be taking the bus to school again!" Right now she only has her permit and drives pretty cautiously. Hopefully I've taught her well enough to know not to drive like an idiot.
