Who did you order this through
Thanks
It seems he ordered it through fordsync4.com. I've myself been looking at their website for the 15,5inch screen to upgrade from sync 3 to 4. But due to the price i've not had the guts to do it yet.

The Sync 4 13.2" upgrade will be here Friday at my house. Will make a new post with alot of pictures. .

***AC vent knobs will be blocked, please don't order if you mind this***

Curious about the blocking of the hvac vent controls. I see from your screenshot there are two options for the system to be upgraded, 8" and 10.1". I would assume the kit for upgrading the 10.1" is adapted to not block the vents.

What is the difference when using zipties to mount vs making a bracket?

Is the ziptie method secure without any movement?

I think I’m gonna go ahead and do this swap. I lover everything about it except for the printed bottom trim people are using. I’ll send the screen to my friends at MTI to fab something more oem looking.

There's a guy on FB who is making something for it. TW3D creations on Etsy. It looks like it will fully seal the gap behind the new screen, and cover up the bottom portion of the screen as well, and give a nice flush fit to the contours of the dash. The 8" screen vent trim piece will be required.

1) where are you gonna source the screen?
2) you don’t mind any wonkiness about seeing possible Lincoln emblems or something? I can’t remember how smooth the Forescan trickery is but it didn’t seem perfect
3) have MTI sell the fab parts to us!

Yeah I just bit the bullet on this one. Ordered from Tasca. I ordered quite a bit over the years when my business had a bunch of Ford trucks. Under a grand delivered….hopefully

you would think...hmm a place selling the item, would post up many more pictures,
to me it looks LOW and angled odd
but hey its in china
if it was raised to equal the height of the current screen i think it would clear the ac vents better
