I have 54K miles and it was built 11/1/19. I'm on my third transfer case, second rear differential, rebuilt transmission at 24K miles, fuel pump at 10K miles, not to mention the front CV axle boots, on third rear camera, second catalytic converter, bad battery at 19 months, new rear defrost glass. Still love looking at it but at the moment it sounds and drives like a car that has 200K miles and 15 years old. Gotta get it looked at again after having it back for just 2 weeks from repairs. 2 months left on powertrain warranty and 2 years left on extendend warranty. I hate being in a rental for several days but not sure how much more of this i can take. The past year has been really bad with numerous major repairs on the drivetrain.

Thought I would chime in. I'm at 64k with my 22 - full mods, full E85, Livernois tune. Zero issues ( I better not jinx myself! ) Actually, Ive had the screen go blank a time or 2 but it's always come back after shut down/ start up and I had an issue with bad sputtering, no power and white/blue smoke. Severe miss fire, I believe in # 3, so I was getting ready to change the coils/plugs but all of sudden it cleared out. I love it when Fords fix themselves! lol, I'm guessing bad gas and or water from the E85 but its been good for a couple months now including a trip from Wi to TN and back. It runs great, but it doesn't always want to start on the first pull if it's below 40 degrees outside due to the E85.
Coincidently, I owned a 2015 Edge Sport ( first year St body style) and that vehicle went 200k trouble free - Ok, just the e-vap switch went bad in the tank ($360.00) and the fan relay went bad which cost me $20 at Auto Zone - that's it! and oh, the blender for the Hvac went so I only had defrost and floor which is all I use anyway but everything else worked like new. Phenomenal breaks on the Edge as well. I'm a Ford guy - just don't buy a Windstar!

I have 52K on my 2021, the only problem I have had besides the last computer update was the fuel tank sensor was replaced. That was messed up in the first few months after I purchased it new.
I think this is happening to my explorer which is now out of warranty. Do you know if this was a costly repair?

I have a 2020 with 73k miles and the only issue currently is the front axle leak which is extremely common on these. Looking to get it replaced with an intermediate shaft (updated part)

After that repair is when all my recent problems started: rear differential and transfer case both replaced twice in a span of just 6 months! It has made me lose faith in Ford and especially Explorers! Previoiusly I've owned 2 MKZ's, Mystique and Tempo and this is the Ford product with the most problems in the past 40 years of my life! My ST has almost 56K miles now at 5 years next Wednesday.
