If so, what tuning did you do afterwards?

K&N looks like crap IMO. Neither will gain any power, honestly if you’re wanting an intake, I’d push you towards the Fenfab least you can get some awesome turbo sounds.

K&N, S&B, and AFE all connect to the same fresh air duct in the grille. Which is about half the size of your drop in filter. Fen Fab is the only intake that doesn't have that as a restriction. However longer inlet pipes also make the turbos less efficient.

All the tuners say you don't need a retune for an intake. Mainly because the EFI is speed density. The factory computers can tune for +/- 10,000 of air density which is nearly 5 PSI of ambient air pressure.

Personally, I like the S&B. It's just a matter of appearence because none of them increase Hp.

I have the FenFab V1 intake and it sounds good with that turbo whistle! Its really all person preference.

From what has been mentioned, you'll run out of turbo before you reach a bottleneck with the stock CAI. Same with stock exhaust because it will hold 700HP.
I purchased the S&B because of looks and quiet. Only reason I acquired one is because an aftermarket CAI was highly recommended by the company that sold me stage V turbos.

Yes, a little difference in performance but more critically, will give better turbo longevity. Because the larger wheel needs a bit more air, the stock intake will cause it to spin faster to create the boost it's asked for. With the upgraded CAI, it can create the same boost at a lower RPM which will make it last longer.
