A well balanced and designed braking system is a must imo if you are doing any high speed maneuvering. Especially if you drive around the edges of traction. I don’t drive like I’m full on road coursing all the time but I do tend to enjoy my vehicles at the edges of the performance envelope and never in heavy traffic.

Awesome thanks for all your work and linking the thread!
I priced a GT500 front left caliper alone and its $700. This option will add up super fast to be the price of the Superforged front BBK at this rate. I suppose the cost savings is if I can find some used GT500 front brake sets.
Yeah you can find used GT500 sets for significantly cheaper, in fact I just saw a set go for sale for $600 for the front brake setup.

Yea ideally just to improve overall brake performance not hardcore type stuff that would get me into trouble being unbalanced. I wouldn't mind dropping $1500 on a GT500 setup. I checked ebay but didnt see anything.

Recommend sites to look around on for stuff like this?

Mustang 6g forum, any of the GT500 Facebook groups (where I saw that setup I mentioned), and Facebook Marketplace are where they pop up the most. Also, worth mentioning GT350 setups are a lot more prevalent and can be found for even cheaper.

Thanks i'll have to go fire up Facebook I guess lol. Even the GT350 will be a score. I just feel the stock fronts especially are just way too weak for a 450HP+ (modded) vehicle of this size.

Spoke with Bruce over at Superforged. Asked about only doing fronts for "fun" street driving on empty backroads and whether it will be a problem with the rear being stock. He said not at all, he offers the whole kit that sure will be better but the fronts alone he said I would be very pleased with the setup. Sold some crypto i've been sitting on for years (finally a profit) and pulled the trigger on the fronts slotted roters and street pads options. I never in my life thought i'd drop 4K on brakes. Maybe this vehicle went from "a cool and fun utility vehicle" to my "midlife crisis" I tell myself.

Dang still a spicy meatball!
Yea it hurts. I went down the path trying to source the parts to put together a GT350/500 upgrade. I'm just bad at finding stuff I guess, so a lot of it is assurance/support/convenience of a purpose designed kit and all new parts. I've kept my last few cars for 10 years+ and plan on that with it.

I just didn't feel safe pushing it the way I like to with the stock brake setup. It's a heavy and fast rocket now and I hold myself back a lot due to low confidence and fade in the stock setup. Not that I'm a speed demon but its always on the back of my mind when getting on it.

Looking around even the 3K is pretty competitive in the world of new high performance brake kits. I had no idea stuff like this costs this much $$.

I’m pretty tempted to go this route myself. I’d probably get both front and rear. Really anything to keep me from buying the 25 as a “gotta have the new thing”
