Yea, I converted my Mustang to e85/93 tune options and it wasn't cheap. But def nowhere near 10k. Not even 5k honestly and that included new headers, injectors, fuel system including 2 fuel pumps, tune, dyno and install.
ST parts are expensive man. Fuel pump is 5K, plus injectors and other components.

Mustangs are great due to the aftermarket potential.

Gotcha. I appreciate the feedback sir. I will most likely hold off on everything other than exhaust and CAI anyway while I'm still under warranty. I know the CAI doesn't do much at all for performance but I do like the sound. I already put the Thermal R&D exhaust on.

Need a complete fuel system, so be prepared to spend close to 10K with all of the upgrades. Lot of people show there is no major difference in running E60 vs E85, so it's not worth the fuel upgrades.

You mix E85 with 93 Octane and you will get your E30-E60 mix.

ZFG has a calculator on their site to help with the conversion, and I believe Goose has one too.

If you have not been tuned, I recommend Goose for sure.
Thanks man!!!

This is the 3K system, which will allow you to run E60.

This one allows E85 and is over $4,000.

Add another $1,000 for labor from a non ford shop (I've already gotten quotes in the Chicago area) since most people are not mechanics, you're over 5K with parts/labor, plus a little extra for retuning.

Much closer to 5K as I stated, than under 4K from what you stated. I should have added context, but for fuel upgrades, this is insanity compared to other vehicles with different offerings.

$3798 will get you there on stock turbos:

Fair enough. Still not under 4K man.

Plus, who would want to spend the money on a stage 2 kit only to run out of fuel and limit power? That's disaster waiting to happen.

Also, on stock turbo's running E85 has its own issues, so add another 3K for Turbo's and you're very close to that 10K mark. Now, 600+ AWHP, your trans is on borrowed time and that alone is a 8-10K upgrade. Same goes for your engine, and we know how much internals go for.

Either way, thousands of dollars to run E85 is nuts, can we at least agree on that?

My take, I think it is stupid some ST owners are dropping 20K+ to run mid-high 10's. There are other SUV's that will do that with a 1/3 of the cost on a mostly stock drivetrain.

I don't want to keep mudding Goose's thread, so if you want to continue to discuss, let's take it to PM.

Been doing a lot of testing myself, as well as some customers.

This customer has an intercooler, cvf downpipes, and my E50 tune.

HE'S MOVING!!!! The trap speed has low 11.5s in it. He's only going to get quicker/faster!
