I've got an ID Speed brace yet to install on my 2023 ST. Did you notice any rear brace related road noise (like Steeda) after the ID Speed brace install?
None whatsoever and neither has anyone else using one. Their bushing material was chosen for a reason…not just whatever random polyurethane looked good that day. lol

Hello, I have a dumb dumb question.

In California, we have emissions testing and the highest octane generally available is 91.

Any advice on whether we should even consider a ZFG tune if we cant access higher octane fuel? An alternative may be the Ford Performance Tune which is 50 state legal.

I admire all the upgrades you did and I'm a bit conflicted on whether to modify anything except for maybe the ID brace (1 bolt), jxb insert, bolt upgrade, oil catch can, intercooler.

Anyone have any thoughts besides moving out of CA?

I have a 4 bolt car. I do have an ID Speed brace on but only because I tested them for the owner.
Okay. I also have a 4 bolt car. So I should be good with just the JBX Inserts? I already have FenFab bushing support inserts.

Yo @UNBROKEN I was thinking about replacing just the sub in my 2020, but I don't have the time or skill to wire amps for it etc. If I have the upgraded factory sound system, does it even make sense to do that if I'm not upgrading the power?

I appreciate your feedback. I've been watching the work you've done on your own sound and it's impressive.

The oem enclosure has never been measured for size or tuning frequency…it’s ported. That said…until someone does that swapping the sub is just throwing shit at the wall and hoping something sticks. If it was me I’d measure that enclosure volume, seal the port to make it a sealed enclosure then find a sub that fits that size with a really high efficiency rating. It can be done…I just haven’t see anyone do it right to date.

ZFG or Goosetuned will get good power using 91. Obviously not E50 power but still worth it. I'm not sure if ZFG got CARB approval yet, but you can always get a COBB AP as their OTS Stage 1 tune is 50 state legal, get Goose to write you a custom 91 tune, then swap back to the 50-state Stage 1 OTS tune when you need to be emissions tested in a few years.

Thanks for the response. What type of material should I use to seal the port? Also, should I stuff the enclosure with filling or leave it empty?

Adam was actually the first tuner to spend the money for CARB approval for his tuning.

Hell you could stuff a wooden plug in it and seal it with CLD…you’d want to deaden that whole plastic enclosure anyway. And yes, I’d think some fiberfill would be a good thing.

Yes I know he submitted the paperwork some time ago, I didn't know if he received approval yet and could ship direct to a CA address. Hopefully we see one of Trump's EOs being to ban CARB.

Mr. Unbroken, any update on your Lincoln screen install?
None…I’m out of state trying to finish up a 6 month long project. The mount from Dariusz is somewhere in the States headed my way, the screen is in my office and all the other parts have been delivered. My audio shop buddy has seen pics and has a plan…I just have to get it into his hands. We’re definitely laser cutting all the lower mount stuff off and doing something in black acrylic to clean it up.
