I have a King Ranch w/365HP & 380TQ. Has anyone done performance upgrades ? My plan is for CVFab Intercooler + Charge Pipes and I already installed MBRP Catback exhaust. My question is : can a SCT 40490 Handheld Tuner work ?

Will an SCT handheld work? Yes. Is it the best option? No! A lot of the tunes for these are what's called "canned" tunes. They are not specific to your car and your mods. Some of them don't even address any transmission tuning. Not all of them are like this but the majority are. I can't speak for the tunes for your car from 5-Star tuning but I used them in the past with an SCT handheld and they were pretty good. They sent me a baseline tune and had me collect a couple datalogs and adjusted from that. But that was several years ago and on a simple set up. I didn't involve turbos and a 10-speed transmission! Do yourself a favor and look into either ZFGracing or Goosetuned. I think others will agree they are at the top right now with this platform.
