Anyone noticed a decrease in sound quality? Noticed it right away. Not huge, but can hear a difference, sounds a bit more muffled.

Doesn't affect radio stations

No. That's odd. Is that wired or are you using a wireless dongle?

Wired.
Going by the Forums and youtube videos, others have had that issue as well

Using the latest RC1 build

Hey everyone I want to try this but have a few questions. For clarification 4 USB thumb drives, all FAT32 format. Stick #1 jailbreak, stick#2 daemon mod, stick #3 Fmod tools, stick #4 beta 4 or RC1 ?
Also with Forscan, will it work with a tune or do I need to flash back to stock first?
About how long did the process take? Assuming 2 or 3 tries for the jailbreak to work.

Thanks

Tune has nothing to do with this. Jailbreak is the hard part. Took me 30 minutes of trying. Some get it on the first or second try though. Also, look over the RC1 readme carefully.

You can use 4 usb sticks or overwrite the first 3 sticks but save the 4th since it has the backup files. My preference would be 4 sticks, but they should be formatted as exfat, and label them so you know which one is 1, 2, etc. They can be old sticks since the largest space taken up is less than 7 MB, so you don't need a 64GB stick.
You also don't necessarily need forscan, it can be installed by using the radio power button and forward buttons simultaneously to do the reset.
Both beta 4 and RC1 are stable, I went with RC1. The caveat with RC1 is, you need to move the files in the dist folder to the root directory for the mod to load.

Like previously said, the jailbreak is the tricky one, timing has to be right. If stick 2 gets an error trying to load, the jailbreak wasn't successful and you need to do stick 1 again. Turn off your headlights every time you turn the car back on to save battery life, or hook up a charger.

As others posted, its a hit and miss. Got mine fully done under 10 min. Make sure the Sync 3 is fully updated. RC1 is the way to go, there still some small bugs but its reliable.

Make sure when installing RC1, you move the files to the root dir. Else, it wont work. Also, wont play nice with some USB drives, I had to use two different drives to install RC1 as one didnt want to work properly with Sync for some reason.

Does anyone know what changes were made between beta and RC1? I'm still running beta 4. The mod publisher did not post any info on fmods that I can find.

I believe they got the Sync button working if you opted for the full screen (without menus at the bottom). If you are not opting for that, it's the same.
