Delivery Checklist?

With Ford buying back the 2019 Edge ST I have, I decided to give Ford one more shot with the Explorer ST. There are no 2020's available configured the way I want and ended up having to order a 2021 (Pro's and Con's to that one!). It "should" start getting built next month, December, and maybe be here by March is what I have been told.

I was thinking I would put together a list of things to check for on delivery, so I'd like to ask everyone of things that would be good to make sure are as they should be when I go to pick it up. Input is appreciated!

Best of luck with the 2021. Bound to be a better experience than the first time around. Go to the explorerforum.com site. Search the topics for "missing parts". I used it when taking delivery of my 2020. Includes pictures and many times part numbers. Put together a whole shopping list. Dealer provided everything I wanted. Most had to be ordered. Keep in mind this is for a 2020. Maybe by 2021 the got their stuff together and will provide you with a complete package.

Good suggestion, thanks for that!

Check the trunk. Make sure the spare is up to pressure, the jack and lug wrench are there, and the fuel funnel is present. Those are pretty key in times of need. You will have a hard time filling the tank with a gas can without that fuel funnel if you ever run out of gas. I think the tow eye is no longer included but you may notice a place for it next to the fuel funnel.

Also, with the owner's manual is a little business card with the code for setting the driver's side key entry. DO NOT lose that and make sure it's with your manual.

Yeah that card with the code is something you really don't want to lose, what I did for the Edge was take a picture of it with my phone as well so I'd have it digitally if needed.

You are 100% right on the jack and funnel, the 2013 Focus ST I had was the same setup and anytime I wanted to run octane booster or fuel system cleaner you need that to add it to the tank as well.
