Getting ready for my new rims and tires..

Got to keep those rotors painted and looking good.... especially my new 22-in rims hide very little of the rotor. If it isn't looking good my OCD kicks in and I'm miserable.

It took me about 4 hours to do. The fronts were easier. The back didn't spin. So I painted 60%. Put the wheel back on. Did the other rear. Put that wheel back on. Moved the car forward 3 feet and removed wheels again and finished. It was worth the effort. I am too OCD to let it go.

Well that depends what you are looking for. If you're looking for the incorrect offset then you will not see it on my vehicle. If you're looking for a nicely prepped rotor ready to accept new 22-in wheels and tires with the proper offset then you're in the right spot.

They look awesome... Can you come and do mine I'll buy lunch. I frequent a restaurant in Miami Beach Florida called Ole Ole... It has the absolute best 72 oz tomahawk steak I've ever had. It's $75 and more than enough for two. Takes about 3 hours to prep. Vegans and vegetarians need not apply. Lol.

Is that a C5?. I had a C4, C5, C6, C7 and I am drooling over the C8 convertible. I just have no more garage space. I always told my ex wife, I would love a six car garage. A one bedroom house would be perfect. She didn't share my enthusiasm so I replaced her with a 21-year-old. Hahaha. I have a five bedroom house and I don't go in the other four rooms ever. We eat out every meal so we don't use the kitchen. I may watch an hour of TV a month. There you go my entire life story for you.

Yes, I had a '98 convertible .Fun car. Maybe drove it 1500 miles a year. Sold it to buy Mama a '13 Explorer back in the day. BTW, that's one good looking steak dinner! I talked to a old friend who picked up his C8 at the Museum last month. He said straight line acceleration will make you lightheaded !

I agree about the quarter mile times. However cosmetically they are stunning. They look like a McLaren for 62 Grand. Loaded convertible is a 100k still a bargain.

My mom is 86 and I try to spend has much time with her as I can cuz I lost my dad a few years ago. She absolutely loves going for cheeseburgers in my Hellcat. She gets in the car, buckles up, puts on her sunglasses and says "punch it". Too bad our parents can't live forever.

Sometimes my brother it's not about quarter mile times it's about how it looks getting there.The C8 is one of the most beautiful cars to ever come out of Detroit. In my opinion it is in the top five. The Hemi Cuda, 69- 70 Dodge charger, 69 Mustang fastback, the 79 Bill blass edition Lincoln Continental Mark 5, as well as the 1976 El Dorado bicentennial edition to name a few. These cars had iconic lines that current day models are missing. The C8 is as aesthetically pleasing as cars five times the price.

Out of the three pickups I think the Ford F-150 is the best looking, the ram has the nicest interior, and the Chevy is not even a contender. As nice as they are none of them hold a candle or turn heads as much as the C8 Corvette convertible does. Totally different class of vehicle. I'm in South Florida and we are a Corvette convertible town.

Got it sometimes I'm a little slow...lol.. high heat satin black from Home Depot. It took longer to mask than it did to actually paint it. I used "Poor Boys" wheel cleaner to remove any grease and grime. then I sand it with 1,000 grit Emery cloth I believe. Masked with black tape and then plastic and blue painters mask. I've done this for years and it's never given me any grief or ever peeled. I think the prep is the most important. I hope that helps you. It's a little bit of effort but I keep my cars three to four years and if it makes me smile when I look at it it's well worth it. I've been a slave to my cars since I'm 15 years old. They are my only vice beside young pretty women.
