Ok, it's intelligent.

I guess it's so smart that it knows when to use the front drive when it's needed.

Going down interstate at 75 mph , dry , it should be totally unused.

I'm assuming any slippage of rear wheels will activate the front .

Scroll through your dash screen settings. There’s one that displays it so you can see what’s happening in real time.

@UNBROKEN, I accidentally did the scroll today , when I pushed the selector (OK) button up.
I seen the little vehicle with the rear wheels colored blue , at 75 mph on hwy.
I assume it will show front wheels in blue also if front drive is on.

That's cool.

Yup.....and when you launch it hard, you'll see how much more the front wheels become involved.

I have been watching the wheel screen and noticed the front are powered quite often unless your just cruising. Even at 80 mph if you get on the gas the front wheels will get some power.

Whenever there are snowy or icy conditions I put it in Slippery mode. I believe it will be more biased towards the front wheels and also adjusts the shift points.

It's to bad Ford just didn't set a full time 4x4 mode. I know what to expect in 4x4 and don't want to guess which wheel is doing what. I might think differently once I can try out the drive modes more but so far our winter hasn't been much of a winter.
