TX2K -- Anyone Else Go?

Had a blast at TX2K -- did anyone else go? I’ve heard (but cannot confirm) it was the biggest one in history and certainty redemption for how last year unfolded due to Covid-19. The DA was great, and I got to see a bunch of fast cars get down on the track – what more could a guy ask for?

That said, the highlight of the event was as the family and I were leaving, we bumped into Kyle from 1320 Video, and he gave my dog a souvenir (see picture below). Told him I would see him at Street Car Takeover in Denver and have my car there to race and go rounds (hopefully haha). It was a great experience that I thought I would share with a couple photos/videos.

Don’t blame the locals - reason my dog was in a backpack lol. Had to experience one before EPA starts shutting these events down.

And yet many seem to be enjoying it. Different strokes for different folks. I’d rather be at most any car event than sitting in a Dentist’s chair having my teeth drilled.

I was at a car event...just not that one. Every tecauche in sourheast Texas thinks their clapped out half ton Chevy is a Lamborghini for one week a year. If you’ve never been around and seen the progression over the years you wouldn’t understand.

It’s no different here in Utah. We have a high percentage of trucks on the road.

You're right on that front...I haven't seen how the event has materilized over the last couple of decades. I went to support enthusiasts with a similar aligned passion -- nothing more, nothing less, and glad I did. That said, I did see a lot of Chevy 1500s slammed, pegging rev limiters, which I didn't much care for, but to each their own.
