Sorry, but it's not a Coupe. But, it is FUGLY

Coupe
A coupe or coupé is a passenger car with a sloping or truncated rear roofline and two doors. The term coupe was first applied to horse-drawn carriages for two passengers without rear-facing seats. It comes from the French translation of "cut".

You must be new to manufacturer's use of the word coupe. The 2-door designation died a looong time ago. I personally agree with you, but our current world markets dozens of SUV coupes.

I know a coupe refers to two door vehicles but also the use the term as of late for certain suv sleek style (gle / x6 etc) I don’t like it personally just saw it while scrolling. I love my st just the way she is

I don't know, paint to match body moldings, lowering springs, I may start to like it.

Hard top and coupe designations get confused with cars. A century ago, a hardtop was a two door car with rear quarter windows that could be opened for rear passenger ventilation (like the classic Mustang hardtops o the '60s) A coupe considered a sporty version of a hardtop, usually with sloping roof line, and the rear quarter windows were fixed because sporty cars did not usually carry rear passengers (despite the seats) due to short headroom. But designations evolve and merge. Now we call anything with a flat hatchback door a SUV.

People would buy it though. Look at all the BMW X4's and X6's out there.
