Anyone done it yet? It’s just like most now where they just lock onto the motor with little tabs but you can’t move the glass around enough to access the tabs. Anyone done it and figure out any tricks?

Best way I’ve found to date for getting the glass out of a side mirror is to get too close to a construction zone pylon on the highway and clip the mirror at 100kph.

Ejected the glass only, folded the mirror shell in but didn’t break it off, hardly even a scuff on it. Only downside was I had to buy a new glass because I never found the old one.

This does give some idea on how the mirror may come out without breaking it. I am thinking some kind of suction cup tool, maybe like they use to pull dents out. This type of tool may let you grab the mirror and pull it off the clip. Since he didn't find the mirror just not sure if the tabs actually broke or not when it popped out.

Looks like 4 pairs of clips...it’s gonna take some finagling.

And after starting at it I didn’t even have to remove the glass so I still don’t know how to do that. lol
There’s 2 Torx screws that hold the cap on you can access with the mirror tilted down. Super easy to swap.
