We are holding the shipment until the OE brake line retrofit to WK2 calipers are established under the description of webpage as follows:
Banjo bolt connection retrofit procedures:
This is how OE brake lines look like (left=position hook removed, right=before removal)
1. Remove OE banjo (90 deg) position hook (to the same as above pic on left)
2. Remove WK2 caliper banjo position block (flange) - The block here has the same idea as Explorer's hook they serve to secure the banjo bolt from rotation but in our experience and for practical purpose they are not required.
Under milling machine
Hatch lines is where the block (flange) is removed
90 deg hook removal is not hard you can use a hacksaw and file or grinder. Removing WK2 flange is a little bit harder but can be saw off with a hacksaw or hand grinder. After this retrofit you will notice the connection is neater and easy to secure and detach as necessary.
If you ever have to revert back to OE calipers, it will be just like WK2 (as retrofitted) w/o the hook and it will function just well w/o any concern.
This is a simple procedure does not even require to replace the brake line. If you are not handy you can show your installation shop these pics and they should be able to perform this retrofit modification for about one hour extra in labor, or call us for assistance.
