Sirius XM issues in 2021 ST

Hi,

I thought I had seen where others were having issues with Sirius XM, but I'm not finding those posts now. In my 2021, Sirius XM has been acting flakey. Like I can go to the store, it works fine. Come out from the store to go home and Sirius channels have no sound. Local and HD stations work fine. Also, if I look at the Sirius XM Travel Link app, it shows most services "not subscribed", but that changes as well. It's not always the same services that show that.

Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions to resolve it?

Thanks,
David

That has been an issue since SYNC 21020. The next SYNC update sounds like the fix. Sounds like Ford will be releasing it about the end of the month.

I have a 2020 ST and have the exact same problems. Nothing helps. Sirius is clueless when I called. I hope the next sync update helps.

I have the same issue. I found out that if you do not drive for about an hour it fixes it self. It is very frustrating when it happens especially if you do not have time the the vehicle to sit.

My 2021 started doing that on our road trip to Florida in July. We stop for fuel and no XM sound at all, after a random period of time it would start working again. I haven't used the vehicle much since due to illness but it did get the latest sync update.

Most of the time when I've lost The Sirius audio doing a soft reset restores it.

How do you do a soft reset?

The soft reset I use is to push the radio power and fast forward buttons at the same time. Hold them until the screen goes blank and release. In a minute or so it will power back up. As I said most of the time it will restore the Sirius radio. And if not I do it again.

My 2021 is at Ford now. They found a bad audio module. Ordered the part and replaced the module. I went from having only the Sirius travel link not working to not having any Sirius functions at all.
After months of issues the easiest fix would have Ford pay for the full Sirius package for 5 years. Versus just offering free travel link for 5 years.

everyone here is correct. Just wait for potential software update.

Mine just started doing the same thing as the OP described today. Have not even had it to the dealership for it's first service.

After picking up the car from the dealer with the new audio module installed everything started working. I will give it a week to see if it sticks.

Same here, still not working after 21098 update either. Hard reset brought it back to life last night but after a quick dog drop off this morning, back to no SiriusXM audio.

Try doing a soft reset instead. It easier and you don't lose your settings. I do that a lot.

Thanks, I'll try that. I was hoping the hard reset after the 21098 update would correct the issue once and for all but nope! lol

Sorry to hear, mine went worse, at first most Sirius apps show unsubscribed but complete loss of Sirius audio is new.
