This happened to me at both 2000 and 4000 miles and a PCM reprogram/update fixed the problem and haven't had the light on again since now at about 12,000 miles. The dealer did the fix during an oil change visit while I waited.

I'd highly recommend getting Forscan and a recommended OBDII adapter and pulling codes just to get an idea of what may be going on.

I'd recommend either

OBDLINK EX
https://www.amazon.com/OBDLink-EX-FORScan-OBD-Adapter/dp/B081VQVD3F
OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter - Amazon.com

OBDLINK MX+
https://www.amazon.com/OBDLink-Bluetooth-Professional-Grade-Diagnostic-Performance/dp/B07JFRFJG6
OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner for iPhone, Android

EX offers a dependable wired connection and is capable of even module calibration updates currently beta testing.

MX+ offers wireless convenience, while still capable of configuration programming. Can be used with Forscan Lite for diagnosis on your smartphone.
