I’m Dave. My wife hated her Kia Telluride and we were able to cash in on the insane used car prices and get more for it than we owe after only having it for 6 months. I’ve got a Mach E GT and while I was going to the dealer when it was being delivered, she saw the Explorer ST. A week later we bought her one. I’m seriously impressed with it, it’s a bad ass SUV. Anyway, I’ll be doing a ton of reading. I’ve already ordered Forscan and a cable in hopes of getting rid of that stupid fake engine noise.

Congrats! Love the color. I have one just like it on order. Just curious, why did she hate the telluride?

She liked everything about it comfort-wise, but for a $50k vehicle, she hated the way it drove at highway speeds. Get it above 60 and it felt like it was going to shake you apart. Dealership tried to balance the tires, replaced a few things and eventually gave up and said "its normal"

Interesting. Well hopefully she enjoys the explorer more. From my test drives, the ST is such an awesome vehicle to drive.

Well I wish I could tell you how much I like it. It’s been an ongoing saga. After reserving 14 months ago and waiting through the long build process, Ford delivered the car to the wrong dealership. When my dealer sent someone to go get it, the car got damaged on the way here. It’s not horrible and simply cosmetic but I wasn’t taking delivery of a damaged $70k vehicle. The dealer is making everything right and it should be ready in a couple weeks.
That said, there are definitely a lot of users on the Mach E forum posting some first year woes so it might be worth waiting. I did get to drive my car and let me tell you, I’m even more excited now

Or practically any Tesla for that matter haha But still, not too bad either

OP, congrats! Pretty interesting that your wife chose the ST over the Telluride. Usually if you dont really care much about performance, a ton of people are going with the Telluride or Palisade for its better finish and materials in the interior or so they say haha.

Funny you should say that. I’ve always been the performance minded one. She’s been driving this ST now for a few days and she even listened to me talk about engine mods lol. The Telluride is nice, no doubt but I’ll be honest, the ST interior is much more comfortable

I named the Plaid as I have a friend that just got one and I've been thinking about and doing a bit of reading on them recently. I wouldn't buy one but as much as I don't want to like them. There is little not to like. These are amazing vehicles in their own right. They take off like a Fighter launching from a Carrier.
