Any ideas how much louder the straight through axle back would be compared to the Gibson? Also I think it’s crazy mrbp is asking 200$ for just for black tips (axle back).

My friend has the MBRP and gets loud on full throttle but it gets a little raspy/popping. I have the Gibson just installed last week. It creates a nice sports tone, no rasp, drone, or popping. The best way I can say it sounds like you picture the ST sounding with the Gibson. But if you want loud the MBRP will be louder.

I've read too many owners saying these are simply too loud and that would make me hesitant.
Those pictures do show being down-pipe or cat-back (depending upon your choice of words) systems. The primary muffler is replaced with an H-Pipe in those pics. These are cat-back systems but there are no flex joints shown in the pictures linked.
I have the MBRP x pipe with high flow mufflers and it is a bit loud, I could only imagine how loud and annoying the MRT system must be.
I think im going to go Thermal next, anyone have any opinions on Thermal?

they just deleted the flex section but still connecting from the dp. I haven’t heard the exhaust yet but would be cheap to get this exhaust and cut off the tips and add a custom resonator muffler with better tips.

Besides some drone I think the MBRP setup sounds great, way better than Borla and better than MRT. I just wish MBRP would have been a true cat back from the downpipes. I don't know why they don't have it as an option like Thermal does.

Clamp from downpipe to midpipe (1), midpipe to muffler (2) , muffler to rear pipe (3), rear pipe to back resonator (4), and resonator to tips (5). This is per side. Besides having the tips integral to the rear resonator, where should clamps be dropped?
Maybe 2 more than some manufacturers depending upon how their tips are attached. The difference with Thermal is they more or less butt joint their connections instead of over lap. The same number of clamps just a different design. Still uses high-quality clamps. May actually be easier to align than an overlap joint due to twisting friction.
