Revisiting this because I couldn't find a thread regarding my question.
SPD DPs are old news yes however after recently going to a muffler shop with what I believed to be a rattle/vibration coming from the Borla Atak left side muffler hitting the bolt that secures the heat shield, and having it now realigned and moved far away from that nut/bolt, the vibration is still there.
I'm noticing it now more so from the front of the car and the mechanic mentioned something about the downpipes not having any rubber/material to secure them and prevent rattle.
I do recall hearing about this when the downpipes were a hot topic but not sure.
Is there something I can do/use to put between the dp's and the car to stop the vibration?

Anyone have any recommendations for maybe new mounting brackets to stop the vibration?
Trying to find a thread about this but nothing so far :(

I haven’t seen anyone say the source of a rattle was their DP’s. That’s assuming the install was done correctly. The most common cause of exhaust rattles on these things are the oem flex pipes.

I believe someone made rubber isolation gaskets to go between the DP brackets and lower frame through which the DP bracket bolts go.

I have replaced the flex pipes with Vibrant ones which stopped the initial exhaust rattle. I had the Borla Atak put on and DP's and everything was good. Recently I had the exhaust looked at for vibration and found the left muffler was hitting the heat shield bolt so the muffler shop lowered the bracket hangers and shaved off the bottom of the heat shield bolt. Still experiencing a lot of vibration. Seems to be coming from the front end of the car. The guy at the shop noticed there was nothing between the dp brackets and car wall. Idk what else it could be?

That's what I'm thinking I need as well.
We've hoisted the car many times in the last month and checked it over. All seems to point to the dp's needing these rubber pieces to hold the pipes more in place idk.
The mechanic did say the dp's seem to be secure though. This vibration just started like a month or so ago. Flex pipe rattle was a different noise and has stopped a while ago when I replaced them.

What size Vibrant flex pipes would I need to replace the OEM ones? Not sure I see a real performance benefit to replace the entire mid pipe section, but would love to get rid of the random flex pipe rattle.

What size Vibrant flex pipes would I need to replace the OEM ones? Not sure I see a real performance benefit to replace the entire mid pipe section, but would love to get rid of the random flex pipe rattle.

I don't believe so. Just 2 of either the 6 or 8" will work however you can customize them if you want.
I found the 8" worked better with the Borla Atak and SPD downpipes on the car already.
6" might require more welding. Hope that helps, tks.

Good quality product, I installed them as well.
Just ordered a set of these to install after installing a MBRP cat back system. Rattle noises which I believe are coming from the flex pipe under the passenger seat have started to happen after about a month with the new system.

The vibration is the accordian style midpipes. I installed the SPD catted downpipes and the flex joints in the midpipes were going crazy, suddenly.

I installed 2.5 inch weave styke flex joint midpipes from Lethal and had the muffler shop add two new hangers and the vibration is GONE. This is a common issue even with the stock system.

Just installed the Lethal mid-pipes today. Was able to do it with a set of wheel ramps. Everything went really smooth and the stock mid-pipes quickly found their way to the dumpster.

Highly recommended for anyone doing after market exhausts. Shame on all the exhaust companies for not providing them.

They indicate their downpipes are a direct OEM replacement and will bolt up to the stock exhaust system or aftermarket systems with no custom tuning required. I have installed a MBRP cat back exhaust system and just looking to replace the downpipes with these.

Any of the aftermarket downpipes will bolt up to the oem mid-pipes. They “should” bolt up to aftermarket exhausts but nobody is gonna guarantee that…it’s on the end user to mix and match aftermarket parts.
