I know exactly how you feel. I attempted to pick mine up on Monday (4/18), but an April snowstorm in Central PA forced me to turn around about 25 miles from the dealer. Decided to wait until sunny weather on Wednesday to make the 90 mile trip instead of driving in the rain to pick it up Tuesday...
That's going to be 90 miles of fun on the way back!!!

Nice. The more bad press the better. Hopefully that will get Ford to fix it right! I think it would be sweet if Consumer Reports, NYTimes, Forbes, etc reported on this recall.
LOL Consumer Reports already has a "Do Not Buy Recommendation" for the Exploder. Love the vehicle, but glad I got Ford to do a buyback and got something else.

Probably because Ford hasn't really decided on the final fix IMO ...

LOL Consumer Reports already has a "Do Not Buy Recommendation" for the Exploder. Love the vehicle, but glad I got Ford to do a buyback and got something else.
I’m so disappointed in Ford…You have no idea. This is what happens when you hire a bunch of educated fools. And yes! There is suck a thing as an educated fool.. They took a good brand and ruined it

I raced Stangs that constantly broke their 7.5" ring gears until Ford upgraded them to 8.8" diffs.

The ST's rear axle bolt issue (of which the jury is still out on it's fix and number of occurrences) seems small for right now.

At this point, I'm not going to overreact and just wait to see what's what ...

Not supposed to. It’s illegal if they do. At this point, I don’t care though. I hope my dealer sells me mine that I ordered. I will not be taking it on a track, so I shouldn’t have to worry about my bolt.

I'm amazed. I wish some idiot hadn't pulled out in front and totaled my Trackhawk. 2 years no recall not trip to the dealer. Less than a year and this is the second recall. I knew I left Ford long time ago for a reason. UGH!!

If some of the dealers are selling them with the active recall they’re idiots … due to the fact that in your contract you will have what is called a Warranty start date, once the contract is completed and the dealership puts a warranty start date Ford will see that there was a active recall before that warranty start date and they will be fined heavily up to $21,000 Per vehicle . The way Ford dealership get around it is they leave the warranty start date blank on the contract. My dealer had me download the FordPass app and activate the account to start the warranty period before driving off of the lot. This is the current way they update their records for warranty start date.
Your warranty start date is initiated through your sales contract … you are correct in stating that the day you bought your vehicle you downloaded the FordPass app and activated that app … that’s all you did was activate the app … Ford pass gets their information from the dealership at the time that the contract is completed through the F and I department. The personnel that works for Ford pass cannot make any changes or updates to your FordPass account without going through the customer Experience specialist department. That’s why when you call Ford pass and you have a problem they tell you they will open a ticket and a specialist will get back with you. The customer experience specialist will need the GDN number of the dealership you bought your vehicle from The GDM number is on your contract. It’s a letter A through Z followed by five numbers they will also need the sales date and exact mileage along with the VIN.

As I stated in the post above if the dealership did not input your warranty start date because they were selling a vehicle that had an active recall you can still activate your FordPass account but it will not have a warranty start date.When you open your Ford Pass app and click on the warranty tab it will be blank if the dealership did not input that date when you open your Ford Pass app and click on the warranty tab it will be blank if the dealership did not input that date

Consumer Reports always seems to have Exploders as Do Not Buy. But it seems as though any foreign badged vehicle is outstanding.

Hmm. Do you think they actually don't know about the recall or are they just trying to make sales?

That is what I kept thinking of GM as I kept getting POS cars and trucks. Started with an 07 Z06, then lemon lawed an 08 Z06, would have lemon lawed an 09 CTSV which spent 26 weeks in the shop trying to fix a roof/sunroof issue, a 16 Denali which about had the transmission explode twice and a 17 CTSV headed towards being a lemon, I switched to Jeep and loved the Trackhawk. If I could have found one on the lot when mine was totaled, I would have another one sitting in the garage now. I am not so trusting of Ford with the Exploder. So far starting at the dealership it hasn't been a smooth ride. I'm avoiding a return to the dealer if at all possible.

Wow, that's a serious run of bad luck. Hopefully, the ST issue will be a simple bolt fix even though virutally no one's having any breaks with the one already in there.

I do this regardless of make/model. I dropped even a thought of a GM junk product way back in 1980. The Govt Motors was junk then as it is now. At least Ford (mainly Republican) still builds enthusiast vehicles vs the GM (mainly Democrap) junk.

My ex bought herself a Jeep that spent longer at the dealer than it did with her the first year she owned it.... which pleased me greatly. :)
