H&R springs now available

Mine came directly from the factory. No middle man. H&R packs them with dividers between the springs and cardboard packing above and below, like UNBROKEN’s.

Who cares? They're springs. packaging is not going to make one iota of difference. I wouldn't be thrilled they came like that but I wouldn't be bent out of shape either. I'd be more thrilled to be one of the first to get them.

I do. I expect the quality control to be on point. And yes packaging does matter. They are scratched in areas where the power coating is gone. That’s a rust risk. I don’t care about being the first. They have more in stock anyways.

If you pay new part prices , you should receive new parts in new shape . You are right , the box won't effect the spring but the possibility of them being chipped , cracked or bent would . None of us know what happened with his springs and i wouldn't want to chance something happening after install . Slim chance but still a chance !

Wondering if the original box was damaged and reboxed by carrier, we see that a lot work from freight carriers. I would still call customer service and let them know springs were damaged, I'm sure they're insured.

I spoke with H&R and they basically said they didn’t go out that way and need make a claim with UPS. I’m just going to keep them and re powercoat them in red. I have a guy in town that does awesome work.

You are better off powdercoating rather than claiming with UPS . By the time you get your claim accepted , cars will be flying and you won't need lowering springs .

That does look good. I picked up my springs yesterday. 620.00 cnd for all you guys north of the border. Hopefully getting installed next week with the intercooler. Just waiting on our buddy unbroken to green light the camber bolts lol. My tire shop said -2 camber will burn the inside edge of the tire put pretty quick

-2 camber is pretty minor . Yes it will wear the inside edge a bit more but numerous OEM vehicles have negative camber from the factory . That's the price you pay to play .

I think my old gt3 had 1.5 degrees. It loved to eat the rear sport cups in about 5000kms

SPC camber bolts for a 2019 will be here Thursday. I’ll test fit them that evening and report back. It’s worth $30 to find out.

How is the rear toe?
A lot of vehicles can run -2° camber if the toe is adjusted accordingly without excessive tire wear. What that would be on the explorer ST won't be known until a few people have eaten a set of tires or 2.

My SVT focus is an example; If the toe is not dialed in, it will eat through the inside edges of the tire like mad. Static negative camber is -1.9° on mine and 1/8th" toe out works to keep the tire wear even.

Rear toe can be adjusted fine. My rear camber is -2.1 and -2.2 and aesthetically that doesn’t work for me. I want it in the -.8 to -1.0 range.
