Just wondering if any1 with a 2022+ has an aFe intake on. So starting with the 22’s we don’t have the BOVs. Isn’t there something about needing to cap off a connection? I saw Whoosh were selling them and an option was with or w/o a cap. I bought one back before Whoosh announced they had 50 of them in stock. So mines still on backorder. I’m wondering if maybe I should cancel my order and just buy one through them. Then I wouldn’t have to worry about finding a cap.
Yeah, I bought on as well for my 22' and Ford didn't design them in for 22'. My 21' had one but it got totaled when someone totaled my vehicle. Bought the 22' and Ford made some changes, to cut costs.

Ford changed the programming on the 22s. They no longer need the BOVs, nor will a BOV do anything other than make a bit of noise. Sure they probably saved a few bucks, but it's not technically correct to post they did it "to cut costs".

OK, Just to clarify my comment, I noticed "other changes" to my 2022 ST that were "DIFFERNT" as well, from my 2021 ST, it was only my assumption, that it was a cut cost consideration by Ford Motor Company, since I'm not on the board of directors, to date. Sorry about that...

Today I installed afe on my 22. I am an hvac tech and made an easy to on obtain threaded cap that can be removed later if you want bov. I used 3/4 inch pvc threaded male and a cap, I glued cap with pvc glue. Oh yeah make sure you use schedule 40 pvc so you don't.void warranty.... Lol. Also if you want it permanent, can add a little glue to threads but it seals fine without glue 64AE51F0-BB6C-464C-B37E-B21A5DF171C6.jpeg 8118499A-BB48-48EE-8BCE-944E4843CFF0.jpeg

a FREE silicone cap included with the AFE intake purchase seems easier and cleaner to me
that tube is also under vacuum only, not boost so there really is no need for glue, cranked down clamps, etc
A properly sized 5 layer silicone cap (again FREE from us) pushed on takes .005 seconds and works perfectly

This was free off my work truck, rather than wait for one to be delivered.... And a bov does what? Blows off extra boost which is pressure at the instance when you lift throttle and turbo is still spooled up. I read the thread, which is what I mostly do, without comments, to avoid being ridiculed when I was only trying to help another member get by in a pinch when a FREE FREE FREE part is waiting for shipment.

was just an opinion, no offense intended
but there is truly no need to use home depot parts on a 60K ST

So let it sit all weekend and part of next week instead of temporarily making a part, but that fix is unacceptable because it wasn't acquired from a specific aftermarket shop..10-4

Except you don’t have a BOV and the system no longer works like that.
I get your point about using what you have available…but your BOV argument fails.

This doesn't make sense on this particular set-up.

The Pro 5R air filter media is a 5-layer progressive cotton gauze media that provides maximum flow and a 98.6% filter efficiency rating. The Pro Dry S air filter media is a 3-layer progressive synthetic media that requires no oils to clean and has a 99.2% filter efficiency which provides maximum convenience.
