All:

I have a Scan Gauge II and am using it to read data from the ODB port on my ST. Right now I usually read transmission oil temp, water temp (I know it's on the dash too), system voltage and boost pressure. There are other things you can read as well such as fuel pressure, fuel flow (GPH), inlet air temp etc. I would like to read the current gear the transmission is in. Has anyone done this or do you have the Scan Gauge, X-GAUGE parameters to program in to read the current gear ?

Get a tune to show the gear your in, most reputable tuners can. I have a tune from ZFG and mine shows it all the time in all drive modes as requested. Then you can use the scan gauge II to show something else.

Hi Dennis,

I also using a Scan Gauge II on my 22 ST. What transmission temps are you seeing typically? I just started using the Scan Gauge on this vehicle and routinely see Water temp 180deg F and trans temps 188-195deg F unless I am pushing it hard making back to back hwy pulls and then cruising above 75mph, then temps go above 200 maxing out at 220. It seems to take a while for the transmission temps to return below 200deg F. This was in ambient temp of 79deg F, with only myself in the vehicle, no cargo, and on 93octane. I am curious what you are seeing.

Tony:

Water temp usually runs at 180 or so. I believe that's what the thermostat is set for. The trans temp usually settles out at 172 under normal conditions. If I push it making some pulls or tow it will go higher. I cruising on the road though 172 is where is stays even in a 97 deg ambient.
