5 star E50 Tune with other mods

What's up guys?
Ok looking for some second opinions here.
I have a 5 Star tune for E50, the other mods are as followed....
AFE CAI intake
SPD 160 thermostat
Thermal 2.5 cat back exhaust
Steeda lowered and Sway bars
With this setup I've had a best run of 12.07 1/4 mile and would like to get into the high 11's, maybe once the intercooler gets installed??
I have one on order from CV Fab.
Car is running great but I have one concern, this tune is hitting the gears hard! I mean really hard on upshifts and downshifts.
Going into second from wide open throttle it barks the tires, is this normal???
Starting to concern me a bit.
As always all your insight is always appreciated.

5 Star sucks…that’s really the bottom line. Tons of people complain about their shifting. An IC might help you squeak into the 11’s. A better E50 tune and IC would get you into the mid 11’s

I agree with UNBROKEN. I was using a 5 star 93 tune on my 21 with an update for the IC, the best I could get was a 12.87 with my lighter 20's and a D/A of negative 481 ft. After the switch to a ZFG tune, and running my heavy 22's and a D/A of 1372 ft, I got a 12.52. ZFG will request data logs from you and ask for anything you would like improved with as much detail as you can provide. The more accurate your description of your requests, the better the results. The first tune he sent me was a little to harsh on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift and I told him that, he softened them up a little and on revision 1 and now they are perfect.

I'm about to put my lighter 20's back on for winter and once the air gets cool enough, I'm going to try another run with the ZFG tune and see if I can get into the 12.20's with just a tune and IC.

So it looks like money would be better spent on ZFG tune next rather than downpipes?

ZFG only makes tunes that use an HP tuning device so you need to get one. Also HP devices can be used on multiple vehicles at the same time, just the tune is locked to a specific vehicle, unlike SCT who lock the whole device to a vehicle. You will also need 4 credits to use and lock the tune to your ST, credits are 50 bucks each but you only need to buy them once for each vehicle you plan to load a tune on. You can have multiple tunes for the same vehicle and only need to buy the credits one time. Plan on about $1K all in for a ZFG tune, the device and 4 credits. The first tune from ZFG is $450, each additional tune is $250 and you don't need anymore credits for the extra tunes.

They have a long list of tunes available. Yes, their shift logic on the higher end tunes is abrupt ....
