Rear AC Issue

Has anyone had problems with the rear AC? If adjusting the rear AC using the knobs in the rear it automatically goes hot. If using the front controls it's works properly. Dealership told me it was a switch and now they are saying it may be the entire system that's bad. Vehicle in shop now 2 months. Beyond frustrating!

In shop for 2 months is unacceptable. They should be able to diagnose the problem way sooner if they have trained techs.
