Installed OCDPlug screen protector and found an air freshener from FRSHLABS that I thought was pretty cool. Yes, I'm an "air freshener from the mirror" guy now, because as a kiddy transporter, there can be interesting smells going on. This is one of their stock designs, but you can send them any picture and they'll make a custom one for almost the same price. It's wood, so you just add the oil you like to it.

Also finally replaced my tires. What a difference! I went from Pirelli Scorpion Verde II to Nitto NT420V. The Pirellis were getting pretty close to the wear bars, but I wasn't ever a massive fan of them. They became loud fairly quickly and as they wore down this thing was following road grooves so much that I thought something was broken! And this was with less and 25K miles on them. I understand I drive this tank harder than some would, but I expect better life out of tires like that. My choices were somewhat limited in the 285/50-20 size, and these Nittos got good reviews. I know a few people that have them, and I'm not sure why I didn't get them originally. The car feels transformed, quiet, rides better, doesn't tramline, and they look better IMO. Now all that is to be expected when going from worn to new tires, so I'll see how they do after some use.

Ford Performance tune and H&R springs. I had H&R’s on a 2016 SHO so I had some idea of what to expect. But it’s still better than I remembered. Feels more stable. Greatly improves cornering. 00D2AFB7-8BAE-423B-A548-55CA3D65305C.jpeg Less like you’re sitting on a bar stool on top of a mattress.

It’s just a figure of speech in reference to the feeling of a much higher center of gravity. And since everyone’s point of reference is different, it’s subjective. Suffice it to say, I love the improvement!

Took the plunge to Air Ride! Installed by Kean Suspensions here in Belgium. They were excited to work on an American model.

Ride is plush, with fully adjustable rebound and dampening struts. Accuair E+ allows me to fully control ride height. I have 4 presets: stock height, lowered normal driving, lowered cruising, fully aired out. On auto start, it automatically adjusts to lowered normal driving.

Kean Suspensions just posted some pics on their Facebook page, check it out! They’re a great family-owned operation, and really good folks!

I've had such a hard time finding a company to paint my trim. Once quote I got was $4400 and everyone says it will eventually peel or spider crack.

Convinced the wife that I “needed” to replace broken flex pipes and faulty cat with new catback exhaust. Guess which I went with for virtual hi-five!

Just got my first oil change. It only took 90 minutes in my dealer's badly misnamed "Quick Lane".

Gave slippery mode a good test run. Had about 30 miles of nasty road conditions due to recent snow storm. It worked pretty good. Glad the Explorer has it.

All it really does is numb the throttle pedal and But it does help with us flat footed individuals and I find it helps on icy/sketchy roads..........LOL Been plenty of that up North this year.

It does slow the throttle response but more. When in slippery mode set your display to the power distribution and you can see that it applies more power to the front wheels plus feel that. Makes it more like a 4X4.

Today got my whoosh catted DPs and 3" Thermal R&D exhaust installed. I couldn't be more pleased with everything from the purchase to installation and product performance! Well worth it!
Thanks to @ron@whooshmotorsports and the guys at @hellhorseperformance for the install.
