Installing McGard Black Lug Nuts?

Hey guys, got a set of black McGard lug nuts for christmas. wasn't sure if I needed to use a protective socket to install them or are they tough enough to use a standard lug socket or havediscount tire throw them on?

I am not sure about your set, but the ones I bought marked pretty easy. Clean your socket well and use the plastic bag trick to minimize scuffs and nicks in the paint.
