Debating on Fords Extended Warranty

Hi Picked up my ST from the dealership yesterday. I LOVE IT! Such a great car all around. It does have 37k miles for 2020. The dealership gives me a 60d/3000-mile warranty.
So it gives me a solid two-four weeks to decide this. I contacted Ford Extended Warranty (Which is awesome that they offer this Vs. going through a 3rd party).

I average about 20k/yr miles. They mentioned 2yr/40k for $2600, 3yr/60k $3,300 and 4yr/125k for $4,200.
The prices seem a little bit high, but it does cover every possible thing on the car as far as I've read.

I do plan on keeping this car. I usually change cars every 2-3 years, but I think this one is the keeper. What warranty should I go with? I'm thinking the 2YR/40k since the 5yr/60k powertrain is still effective.
Can I call the extended warranty and see if they'll work the price? Like a discount or something?

Thanks in advance! My only worry is electronics long-term.

I bought mine back in December from andersonandkoch-ford-warranty.com paid $1525 for a total of 7 years/85,000 miles with rental car included. That was the best price I could find after comparing several dealers.

Are they widely accepted? Should I ask my dealer locally? I have about 3 separate ones that I can ask if they accept that one. The pricing is definitely WAY better.

Yes, you can purchase extended warranties, even if the car is right out of the 3yr/35k.

I compared Lombard, Flood, Anderson & Koch and a few others and got the lowerst price from Anderson & Koch.

I drive a lot of miles a year, and this car has more tech than my previous did. While you may have never, some have. It's all luck, and how a person behind the wheel maintains what they have. It's potential insurance long term.

I just tried all those websites and if you are from California, you can't get one online anymore.
It was allowing me and showing me some quotes, when I checked last time in Jan 2023.

I went ahead with direct ford (via phone) and placed an order for 6 year 48k plan with Zero deductible, @ 1850$
They gave some 200$ discount and split my payments for 30 months without any additional charge.
(on the expensive side compared to what others get online, but looks like no other option anymore for CA people)

I got one to 125k when I bought it. In the past I had been dead against extended warranty. Last vehicle was a 2017 2500HD Denali. I got a killer deal on a GM extended warranty. Never had a power train issue but had other issues. All electronic devices like power heated mirror, window regulator, BCM, etc. extended warranty paid for itself 3 times over.

My 22ST is tuned so I don’t have a power train warranty but I have also never had a power train issue in many many new vehicles. I got it strictly for all the electronics. I also tend to keep them 5-6 years.

Yep. I negotiated a great price on the vehicle itself, and then used a small part of the savings to purchase an ESP from Granger, who offered the lowest overall price, late one Saturday night. Had the confirmation email in my inbox the following Monday morning, the application of which was confirmed on the Ford website.

And, FWIW, I am one of those who never ever purchases so-called extended warranties on any every-day-type product, but I do make an occasional exception when it comes to $60,000+ vehicles that are now merely rolling computers with attached internal-combustion engines where a single out-of-warranty repair can quickly and easily run into a many-thousands-of-dollars range.

Thus far, and over the past few four-wheeled vehicles I have owned, this philosophy has served me somewhat well.

What plan are you going with? I would recommend the LED light coverage as well for a few bucks more.
