Still waiting for delivery on my 2023 ST carbo gray with 401a package, moonroof and tech package. It’s held up due to some shortage most likely the 360 degree camera recall fix. I own two classic mustangs (67 & 83) and belong to MCA (mustang club of America) so I get the x-plan discount thru the membership. View attachment 18457 View attachment 18458
Welcome, I love that '83! I had an '82 Mercury Capri 5.0L for years and I loved that car! But that '67 is also beautiful!

I like your 67, I have a 69, it’s a mild restomod with a 408W stroker, TKO600, 9” with a 3.70s, 31 spline axles and a Detroit Locker.

So far I only have a tune on my ST but I’ll probably do exhaust and IC as well.

Hello all,

My name is Steven and I am in the process of obtaining my new Explorer ST. I have been in the market for a performance SUV with all the Bells and Whistles. I was first shopping around for a Durango R/T but that didn't work out and I found out about the Explorer ST and I fell in love. I was supposed to have mine by now, but due to the 360 Camera blue screen re-call, I have not picked up one yet. I have my eye on a few that were produced after the recalled part was taken out of production (May 2nd) that are in transit. I had found one that I wanted to purchase, went to the dealer last Thursday, but the dealer would not sell it to me because of the recall. I am hoping that the ones that are in transit to the dealers in my area arrive soon so I can start driving it. Looking for a Star White Metallic ford with the Street Pack & High Performance Pack. I have been calling a handful of dealers everyday trying to get a status update so I can pick one up, but no luck yet. Found a nice one that was supposed to arrive Monday of this week, but according to the dealer, it is still at the Ford plant in Chicago. If any one has had luck getting one in their hands or has any clue about when this recall will be resolved, any information is appreciated. I am starting to lose my patience and wondering if it's better to wait till 2024 model ST is out.

Thank you

I would personally wait for the 2024 STs or pick up a used 2021 or 2022 ST, no point buying a 2023 now unless you are getting it at X plan at the very least.

Also good call on passing on the current Durango…the R/T is slow compared to the ST and eats gas. Even the SRT Durango is slow and over priced compared to the ST once basic mods to both are factored in. 2023 is the last year of the Hemi so the 2024 R/T will probably offer the new Twin Turbo 3.0 from Dodge…probably in 400hp configuration similar to the ST.

Yes I do have the X plan so that should bring it down 2-3K. I am also going to try to bring them down a bit + the 0% financing for 36 months.
I am contemplating waiting for the 2024 but I am unsure if it's worth the wait. If they are going to be released November 2023 - January 2023 I think I can wait, but if it's March/April, I will probably go nuts.

Yeah hard to say. The interior looks to be improved decently but I don’t think there will be any meaningful mechanical changes on the 2024 but I could be wrong.

Now if there was a decent power bump, magnetic dampers, or something like that added to the 2024 ST then I would definitely wait.

Took my 67 mustang to the ford dealership last year for New York inspection when I saw and test drove a 2022 ST and fell in love. Of course I’m now in the 360 camera recall black hole waiting for delivery. What a PIA. I’ve seen some spy pictures of the 2024 and to be honest I think the 2023 is more aggressive looking especially the front grill. I also see they don’t have the exhaust exiting the rear on the 2024. I’m getting the x-plan on the 2023 plus the factory $1k order discount and another two additional $1k discounts. My plan is to beat up my dealer some more since the 2023 will almost be a model year old.

by the way did anyone notice the 401a package went up in cost by around $400 since my order in March 2023

Nice, welcome. May I ask if your ST was held up due to the camera issue? Or other?

they sold it to me anyway, with the agreement I’d bring it asap when(if) they ever put out a fix. And as long as I dont tattle.

That’s awesome, congrats!

I would do the same if they let me but no dealership wants to sell me one, they just want to “work the numbers.”

Greetings fellow ST owners!

My name is STeve and I have an addiction..... oh wait wrong forum.

Proud new (to me) owner of a 2020 Rapid Red ST. Came from a 2019 F-150 Lariat, '18 Taurus SEL, and 17' Fusion SE (ok so maybe I do have an addiction). Love every bit of it so far when I got it in April -- already have been messing with FORSCAN stuff and minor appearance "mods". Don't plan to go crazy with performance mods as I do wish to stay in my own house under the grace of the wife. But, you never know. :giggle:

Pics and posts to come!
Congratulations Steve and welcome to the forum.

Hello Fellow STers
Purchased my silver 2020 ST with 27k back in May. Now starting mods lowering springs, catch can, intercooler, front and rear sway bars and a tune. 22 inch wheels also in the works. I Installed a autostop eliminator last week and love it. I've learned a lot about The ST mods here very help full. Thank you
