Been following this thread for a few weeks now and here is where my order is:

Order was submitted March 25 and wasn't picked up from Ford until sometime in early July. It had a production date of August 21 but that changed yesterday to in production. Vehicle window sticker shows a blend date of August 24 and there is a credit for the 360 degree camera.

Are they just scraping the 360 and going with just back up camera to get these rolling again?
Correct. New builds will have the camera delete credit.

Here’s the email I sent the general manager and the dealer principal. Where the dots are I had their names or the dealership name. I doubt it will get anywhere. But I like to have everything in writing, so I won’t be meeting with them or calling them anymore. They have been the most scummy and unprofessional dealership I have ever had any dealings with!

Mr. …… and Mr. …..
This email is concerning our 2023 Ford Explorer Platinum 4WD that we purchased from …dealership name… on May 17, 2023. As I am sure you are aware, we could not take ownership of our explorer due to the blue screen recall. We are well into our third month of payments($) …dealership name… has reimbursed for one of those payments so far,($) which we do appreciate.

However, we are beyond the point of this situation being acceptable. My vehicle, that is just sitting on the lot, is depreciating in value every day, not being run properly, and it’s looking like the 2024s will be released before I will ever be able to drive mine. That is not right, and I NEVER agreed to this! We were informed of the issue after the deal had been made, and in the middle of signing paperwork. And I feel we were mislead, and have been neglected during this entire process. I have initiated every single communication effort the entire time, and wasn’t even informed that my salesman no longer worked at …dealership name….

For 12+ weeks my car has been sitting on the lot in our name, but we also need to take into account that it’s been in the dealership’s possession since February 2023…out in the elements, not being run. **I keep my vehicles in the garage everyday and take excellent care of them.** Heck, we literally send our oil off to be analyzed after every service. So I am certain you can understand how stomach churning this entire situation is for us.

I’m paying top dollar, for what I expected to be, a NEW, top of the line car, and I’m not even sure when I will get it. It could be well into next year at this rate, if ever. First, I was told “a couple of days to a couple of weeks, tops.” Then, “end of June beginning of August”. Now I’ve read(since the dealership has not updated me in weeks)middle of Q4!! November…WHAT?!

Ford Motor Corporation says it is up to the dealership(…dealership name…) to make this right. Something needs to be done! I am open to any suggestions. I look forward to hearing from you and hope we can come to a resolution for this very frustrating issue.

Sincerely,
I’m sending something similar. Bought my car the day after the stop sale was put in place. Dealership has this car in their lot since December. No communication unless we contact them first.

Hi all, new to this forum. I ordered my 23 King Ranch Explorer on April 1. Was set to be built June 5, then delayed until Jul 19. It went into production July 19, but no movement at all on the status dashboard since that 19th update. I received the 45 day letter stating it hasn't been built yet, after the 19th. However, if you search the VIN on google, it comes up as in transit. Thinking mine is one of the lucky Explorers sitting in the Chicago Speedway lot. Dealer has made no mention at all about a Stop Sale, I found that online and through the valuable info on this board. I did email salesman about it and all he responded today is that "you are built and we are showing it should be at the dealership between 8-24-8-30". He mentioned not one word about the "stop sale" I pointedly asked him about. Transparency goes a long way. I would rather hear the truth upfront than hear another delay when it's supposed to be at dealership.

Anyone else hear anything new?

We must be using the same dealer?
Ordered a 23 Platinum on 4-15. Scheduled for production on 5-18 with a production date of the week of 7-17 but turned out to be 7-19. The vehicle tracker was last updated on 7-25. But says it is still in production. My dealer sent me a print out saying it was on Plant Quality Hold off site. on 7-29 I rec'd the letter from Ford it is a supply chain issue and will communicate with me every 45 days. The last I heard from the dealer is that it should be shipped August 7 thru 10th, and that has come and gone. Crickets from the dealer unless I call him? I'm starting to think about a 2024? However I am hoping to see some deep discounts or rebates. Maybe additional years of Sirius. Make the warranty 5 / 100,000.. At the least, I am not making payments!

No payments on my end yet either, thank God. I did put down $500 to place the special order. I'd be livid to be making payments with no vehicle. I am not holding my breath about any rebates, especially for us folks who haven't made payments. Hope I'm wrong though.

They said I have two options, they continue to make payments until the issue is resolved. Or I trade me into another vehicle?? Not sure what to ask or how to make sure I don’t get screwed if I do trade

Tell them what might be acceptable to you, don't be shy. You are a good-faith customer that they likely would hope to keep and you've been patient. Take'em a box of donuts and let them know that you realize it isn't their fault but remind them that you've been inconvenienced. You might be surprised at what they will agree to.

I would avoid a trade-in situation if you can. My dealership provided a rescission agreement and sent a check to Ford Finance to pay off my loan before I started a new deal on a different vehicle.

Blend? Is that a ship out date or arrival date lol…

Seems like you will probably get the $1000 for no 360 and delay credit.

Thanks! That’s what they came back and offered me, I’m just not sure which to pick now!

My situation is nearly identical. Ordered 3/31, original production date of 6/5, pushed back to 7/24. In production since 7/24 but also received the 45 day supply chain email. Dealer says it's built. But after reading your post, I also googled my VIN (thank you), and lo and behold it appears on my dealers website as a new vehicle and the photos say "not in stock - in transit." I just emailed my dealership asking if this was good news. Will see what they say. I too previously asked them about the stop sale and they avoided the question, just telling me they'll tell me when they hear something but that their computer showed a dealership date of 8/27-9/02. Hopefully this train is rolling... literally.

Our dealer did some kind of property transfer for us. They had an inbound ST exactly like ours but apparently it has no recall. We just finished the paperwork to transfer vehicles and please please PLEASE don't let them try to get any more money out of you. They tried to pull some crap on us saying that they have to charge us 1,000$ because how rebates and military discounts changed and wanted us to pay that difference. I went in yesterday and told them we refuse to pay them any more for us being inconvenienced and also the manager tried to guilt trip us saying how bad the dealers have it and that "its just a thousand dollars".

Can you provide more info on this ? My dealer basically made it sound like I was stuck in my deal because I’ve made payments even though they have a recall free unit with the same specs sitting on the lot now…

Get with someone higher up. It took me contacting the dealer principal to get some attention. I posted my email a few posts up, you can go off of that if you like. They are offering me to continue paying my payments until it’s resolved and put me in a loaner no charge. Or pay off my loan at the total that I financed and reimburse my warranty.(which that part would have been done anyway)
I just haven’t made my mind up yet.

The only reason I don’t want to go with the option of them paying it off and finding a new vehicle is having to run my credit again so soon and the interest rates being higher now. How does a property transfer work?

Did this picture "pop up" when you googled your VIN? No picture pops up for me, just an in transit message. Interesting it's sitting in front of train!

Blend date is final assembly which should move it to ready to ship. I'm won't be holding my breath that this goes smoothly!! LOL
I'm just hoping Ford Credit offers a good financing rate and they can keep the $1000 delay credit.

I was on the same boat, i told them i didn't want to have my credit ran again. They did not run my credit again they kept all pricing the same since it was the same. We just had to resign out original documents with an updated VIN. Just let them know what you are willing to do and what you want and they SHOULD be able/willing to help you. if you have questions feel free to reach out to me and i can help in any way i possibly can
