I'm currently running ZFG's 93 tune on E30 and I'm looking to make the full jump to E50.

For those that have made the jump to E50, how did you go about getting the proper blend in? Say I have less than half a tank left on E30, will I just need to calculate what I'll need to pump to full for E50 and go from there or is there a special way to go about it?

Use the E85 Mix app to know how much to blend.

I know, that's what I've been using for my E30 blend but my question is about filling up the rest of the tank. So like I said, say I have less than a half tank of E30, do I just calculate how much left I need to fill the tank full and make sure that's E50 only? I'm assuming that's right but I just want to make sure.

Sorry to resurrect the necro but did you ever swap to the e50 tune? If so, how is it as compared to the 93 with e30? That is what I currently run. Trying to determine if it is worth it or wait for a sale on a hpfp and run e85 and not have to worry about mixing.

I had compared Lokiwolf’s 93/e50 dyno post and he got ~45hp and i’m guessing 93 with e30 to e50 is probably ~20hp gain.

Sorry about the wait. In case you hadn't converted yet, yes E30 to E50 is a 20-25hp gain. That's straight from ZFG.

In the process of doing it. Intercooler and ethanol sensor install next week and then putting in tune order.

Cool! Where did you get the ethanol sensor?

I went for the fuel-it kit and fenfab install kit. It is a known working method and I’m all about making life easy.

You don't happen to have the link to it, do you?

When you jumped to the E50 tube did you have to upgrade your spark plugs to a tighter gap or a cooler stage?

what’s the general consensus on the spark plug issue and ethanol tunes? @UNBROKEN any input?

this is the list that I got and worked out great. I also had them mount it to the body vs the heater line bracket.

You will need a micro2 fuse for the circuit tap.

Fuel-it - sensor ending in 429

No prob. Once it stops raining, I’ll go check the fuse slot he used and what amp fuse and add that. It is nice to have a known parts list that will work.

Tbh, I used this thread: https://www.explorerst.org/threads/how-to-ethanol-sensor-installation.2506/

And this guy’s vid to work out what to get and I liked where he mounted it.
