I haven't had any black or blue screen issues since I've owned it (11/21) and it's driven almost daily. The only issue I've had is when backing out of my garage it thinks it sees something coming from the right side and initiates the automatic braking/anti collision. There is never anything back there and the thing about it that sucks is it is so random and it scares the crap out of me when it does it! It did it last week and it may be another 1-2 months before it does it again. I'm hoping the recall addresses this issue because I know I'm not the only one experiencing it.

I've had it happen but only when there was some obstruction. Not knowing that feature existed, it made me think I did hit what I was close to because it's so abrupt. I decided to disable it knowing I've never previously backed into anything. You can do the same if it's that bothersome.

Thank you! I was not aware that feature could be disabled. I know it's a useful feature, but the stop is so sudden. Thanks again-

Hello all,

I started this thread as a resource for updates on the current recall on the Explorer ST regarding the 360 Degree Camera. Ford issued this recall on May 12th, 2023. Ford also stopped sales of Explorer St's produced before May 2nd, 2023.

This is what I have discovered so far.
Recall affects all Explorers from 2020-2023 produced before May 2nd, 2023
The recalled part was introduced into production on 10/19/2018 and was taken out of production on 05/02/2023.
Explorer's produced after this date do not seem to be affected according to Ford's recall lookup. (https://www.ford.com/support/recalls/)
You can lookup the production date by looking at the last 6 on the Window Sticker (see attached picture).

If anyone has any updates or useful information, please share.

mine is a 2024 Explorer ST with shows a credit in the window sticker for the 360 camera not working

My blue screen is occurring much more frequently, so I called my dealership to see if they could get the parts for the recall. They said I have to take a picture of the bluescreen and my vin and email it in before they would order the parts. That is a first for me.

I got my ST in September 2023. The factory inactivated 360 degree camera, maybe just removed the module or cables. No this function is okay for me, but just disappointed at that Ford couldn't have solutions for it. The view of reverse camera looks like a little weird or blur compared to the clear and real views of any other vehicles. It really affects Ford's reputation.
Also, just out of curiosity, could 360 degree camera be re-activated, if after solutions found? Could it be that Ford really won't take care of this issue ?

My screen has a lot of frequent issues I just posted. The thing is that when I send ST to the dealer, the screen is back to normal most of time. The dealer couldn't find out or read any codes of the issue, I guessed from the OBD. Even I showed them the video and pictures I recorded while issues happened, they said that I need to drop the vehicle there many days and let them test. Once I left my ST there 4 days, they still couldn't find out any issue... Hopefully your dealer can do something for you. Good luck.
Does any person from Ford related department come into this forum, check or review any issues of Explorer, ST, or really take care of ST fans ?
