2025 Explorer Teaser Ahead of Tomorrow's Reveal

There’s nothing to tease. Pics and info have been out for a year basically. They pushed it to 2025 instead of 2024 because they had all of the 2023 cars sitting and not able to sell over the rear camera crap. They couldn’t release it as a 2024 or the sitting 2023’s would never have sold.

I just watched that and commented on the video...here's my comment:
I like the upgrade to the infotainment system & the dashboard.
It would be great to have a list of features that were on the original 2020 Ford Explorer ST and is not on this newer 2025 version. Or vice versa...

10-way Power Driver and Passenger seats, Massage Driver and Passenger seats, auto brake hold at stoplights, intelligent cruise control, heated and cooled Driver and Passenger seats, heated 2nd row seats, multiple zoned Driver and Passenger climate control, 2nd row seats climate control, wireless phone recharger, built in phone stand when driving, panorama sunroof, ST ground effects projection at night, full screen infotainment system, 15 speaker sound system, remote key fob start stop, 'free' app to remotely start/unlock/lock/locate your vehicle from anywhere in the world, navigation, CarPlay, various dashboard displays per driving mode, auto high beam headlights, auto windshield wipers, auto dimming rear view mirrors, hidden keypad on external door, keyless entry on all four doors, exterior lock button on all four doors, foot waving opening trunk, 3rd row collapsible seating, hidden floor compartment storage, spare tire (not a can of Fix-A-flat), various ambient lighting colors (including ambient lighting to the cup holders), auto breaking if you're not paying attention, rear wheel lockup when pivoting for emergency cornering, lane departure warning system, self parking in parallel/perpendicular parking spots, auto start-stop, and 400HP!
I'm not 100% certain all these features survived the later models as the supply line took a major hit during COVID.
From what I heard in the video, the 2025 items are:
-improved motor
-different rims
-more speakers
-better material internal
-newer front/back ends
-blacked out roof
-infotainment system gets away from Sync + new look
-new dashboard
-more plugs/cupholders
-different badging/new locations for badging

That guy who does the review, "Raities" does good reviews but I hate it when they bow to the pressure of the OEM by suckholing.
I watched his review of the 2025 Tahoe/Suburban, in it he specifically points out how he loves the fact that Chevrolet went paint all the way down the fender and didn't cheap out with a ugly plastic trim. But here he says he loves the black plastic trim.
In all the years owning an Explorer and being on these forums I have never heard anyone say they wanted to paint the roof black, seems odd Ford thinks its a customer want and charges $5000 for it.
Interior is nicer then current model but 13" screen is small by today's standard.
Too many deleted options with supply chain issues no other OEM seems to have.
The showstopper for me is the wheel design and colour. Ford chooses to market the ST as a "Blacked Out" trim but throws in grey wheels as only option?....WTF .......that colour is nowhere else on the vehicle. Plus the little things like the Mustang with black wheels gets black OE lugnuts but here the ST gets chrome?.....I thought this was "Blackout"
Every other Ford model with "Blackout" gets black Ford ovals......my kids Escape with BlackPak has black Ford badging, but the $60,000 Explorer gets Blue Ovals?
The biggest issue Ford faces with any Explorer is the Quality Control or lack there of. Chicago Assembly has huge issues and no matter what they change there will still be issues.
Too bad really but this reveal has been my ultimate deciding factor for a 2025 Tahoe RST in the summer.

Screen wise, i was perfectly fine with the current 10 inch screen, just not vertical... I hate the oversized Mach-E/ Expedition tablet or anything close to it. IMO, 13 inch is borderline for me, anything bigger probably be a pass for me.
Is there a list of what is missing vs a 2020 Explorer? I dont expect the fit and finish to be great but im sure itll be better vs the current one's.
IMO, there's no other SUV that offers performance, size and price like the Explorers. I wish they did though, would be nice having more options.
Far as audio, its the same amount of speakers, 14, but change the front to a soundbar arrangement, will be interesting if it actually improves the sound. Would also be nice if they actually put good speakers this time around and not the paper cone one's we have with the 14 speakers. Previous Explorer's Sony system had better speakers.
