I had a horrible screeching noise through my left front speaker after a car wash. I turned off my audio, waited a few minutes, turned my vehicle off and on, and the sound disappeared.

I’m guessing this is a short as this is the second time I’ve had this happen after a car wash. Anyone have any ideas where the short could be or what to check? My vehicle is under warranty so I’d like to get this fixed ASAP.

I know F150s have experienced this problem but haven’t seen an ST have it yet. Might want to search on their forums.

You may have a water leak near the rear hatch, that's where the audio control module is located.
