Experience with SCT X4 Tuner?

Has anyone had experience with an SCT X4 tuner for the ST? Were there any issues after loading the tune? and was It worth the effort?

SCT tunes are useless canned tunes. It isn’t worth the money. Your better off going with custom tunes like ZFG or GooseTuned.

There’s some good tuners using SCT…Gearhead Tuning would be my recommendation.
Skip the box tunes…go ahead and have Matt dial in your car the way it should be.

I have used Derive products (SCT & Bully Dawg) on a few vehicles over the past 10 years (2 were 16+ EB's). I'm done with them! I ALWAYS have problems and have to spend HOURS on the phone with their tech support.
Im going with the new HP RTD+ module for the Explorer ST I just picked up for my wife.

Gearhead tunes! Matt is a great resource. Matt has helped me a great deal.
My ST runs good, I went to Gearhead from 5 Star as I am new to the Tuner game.

Thanks for your recommendation. I reached out to Goose Tuned and bought a stage 1 tune from him. Winfield is a pleasure to work with ... he answered all my "lack of Knowledge" questions very quickly. I just installed his tune and it went extremely well. The Car seems to be running fantastic. The biggest time consumer I encountered was going out and buying a 10 Amp battery charger ... just in case there was a voltage fluctuation. He told me it was a good idea .. and I did not want to take any chances so I did it. All in all, the install went smooth as silk, and I am very pleased with the result.

To me SCT tune with a 5 star tune are okay (even though 5* did have a lot of transmission tuning problems with these cars) but there seems to be something better for the price every single time. FBO F150s and Mustangs, these cars, Expeditions and other similar vehicles they tune.
