Offset Question

I'm talking to someone about buying these Asanti rims. The only problem is he doesn't know what the offset is. To get the offset, don't you place a straight edge across the back of the rim and then measure from there down to the center? This is a stock picture of what the rims look like. He is supposed to get me some picture of the actual rims in the next couple days. From the looks of the rim in this picture, the tire would sit way under the vehicle. They came off a 2020 XLT so I assume they will fit on my 2020 ST.

Most rims have the offset and specs imprinted on the back of the head of the rim.

What you described is called back space, the distance from the mounting surface to the inner edge of the wheel. Offset is how far the mounting surface is away from the centerline of the wheel.

That's right, back space! You're 100% correct! He is going to look when he goes to take pics of them. If I remember right, I need a +30 offset. The rims are 22x9.5. He's only asking $1,000 for a set of four.

Anything from +30 to +35 is ideal. Could go a little bit further out but those are what will look best.
