Electrical Issues When Brake Pedal Pressed 24 ST Explorer

I own a 2024 Explorer ST; after driving for about 15 min, when the brake pedal is pressed, there are warning messages that pop up and flash on the dash. Rear hatch open, third-row occupancy sensor failure, and no key detected. Along with this, the driver tail lamp flashes when the brake pedal is pressed, the vehicle will not unlock with the fob, the sun roof will not operate, and the folding mirrors will not fold. If you lock the vehicle all the lights flicker and flash in random patterns. I have to manually unlock it, it sets the alarm and I have to start it to avoid the alarm going off. I took it in and they replaced the rear hatch latch and cleared the codes. The next morning, after driving for about 15 min, it started again. This time I went on into work (I am the COO of an automotive repair shop) I pulled the codes, but this time, I noticed that after it cooled down, the codes went to history. (All communication failures and open circuit failures). To summarize, after operating temp is when the failure occurs, but only when pressing the brake pedal. This leads me to believe that there is a communication issue with a module that is somewhere in the rear of the vehicle or that operates the rear portion of the vehicle. I know this may be a long shot, but has anyone seen this?

Never heard of this issue before. Sounds like a pin in a plug isn’t making a good connection or maybe there is a loose ground connection somewhere?

I wouldn't be surprised if mice ate into your electrical harness(es).

hmm that's a tricky one. have you checked if there's any correlation with outside temperature? maybe a sensor is acting up when it gets hot. just a thought, not sure if it helps.

I also considered the battery's health. As the COO of an automotive repair facility, I had my guys test it; it passed at the time of testing. The outside temp has been in the 60s to 90's, and it has done it throughout the temperature range. It only happens at operating temperature and when the brake pedal is pressed. The last time I saw something of this nature was on a Dodge vehicle (I know, apples and oranges) that had too much moisture in a lamp assembly. With less than 4000 miles on it, I double checked the lamp assemblies to make sure I was not getting excessive moisture into any housings. It is still under factory warranty, so I am kind of sitting back and waiting. I just hope they don't start throwing parts at it.

I hope not, but the thought did cross my mind... No matter what, I just want it repaired. I LOVE my ST!
