My ST had the standard brakes. I bought the Street Pack used from a user last year.

Order the Power Stop kit off Rock Auto
POWER STOP K869436 Z36 Truck & Tow; Includes Drilled & Slotted Rotors, Carbon-Fiber Ceramic Pads & Hardware Info
Front and Rear; ST Model; w/ 363mm front rotors and 350mm rear rotors

Only installed the Front right now. You will need the brake line that match the bigger brakes.

You will need to trim the brake shield. I used my Aviation Snips to cut the shield.

FYI. I bleed the brakes the traditional way. The Explorer did not like that. Dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Had to use Forscan to do a self test on the ABS system.

Does anyone know how to bleed the brake system?

Nothing special needed to bleed the brakes. Can use the two man method or a cheap HF vacuum bleeder. Just don’t let the reservoir run dry. You can’t bleed inside the abs valves without a scan tool to open the valves.

I used the two man method. When I open the bleeder valve, the Brake pump would kick on and push fluid into my vacuum pump.

Maybe the car need to be in maintenance mode.

The key was off but not in maintenance mode.

Press the brake pedal 3 times and hold. Opening the bleeder valve, kicked on the electric master cylinder.

I've only used a powerbleeder and another time, a mityvac. I don't touch the brake pedal nor have the car on. No issues.

Wow. Guess I never tried the two man on my ST. I use either a vacuum bleeder or a motive power bleeder now that I got a spare brake reservoir cover to it work. Only pump the brake after I’m done.

Good to know though. Really surprised the pump has power with key off. Then again my ST makes all kinds of noises just sitting in the garage

It must be shut off and the driver’s door open to shut off the network. If the door remains closed the car stays “awake” and safety systems fully functional. It’s weird that way.
