    X-Pipe vs. H-Pipe

If you want something affordable that will have a fantastic sound, the Gibson axle-back is all you need. I’ve had their kit on since they first came out and have enjoyed it since. Real nice rumble, no rasp, no drone. Do a search and check out YouTube videos - there are plenty.

    2025 ST Gibson exaughst.

Great kit and a fantastic price. It has gone up over the last several years, but still a nice bang for the buck. The u-bolt clamps stink though, and will make it next to impossible to get the pipes off if the need arises. I used some good step-band clamps and upgraded the bolts - about four...

    PIU rear sway bar

I’ve mentioned the sizes in other threads. Off the top of my head, the OE bar is around 21.5mm and the PIU is 23mm. Not a ton larger, but still an improvement in stiffness. All the bars have tags on them in the middle that shows the diameter.

Gibson Axel Back Exhaust? Wanting better sound but not loud.

I got it directly from Gibson at that deal since I promoted it and probably helped some initial sales. That was four years ago, though. I have no idea what it costs today, but I imagine you can search and find deals. Either way, it was way cheaper than the full kits and sounds better than any of...

Gibson Axel Back Exhaust? Wanting better sound but not loud.

I was one of the first retail customers to get this exhaust. Still on my ST and sounds fantastic. Gives a real nice rumble without the Honda rasp that so many other kits have. No drone and not stupid loud either. The price is right, too - got mine for just over $500. Fit great, tips look nice as...

    Detune from OEM

Read the owner’s manual - that’s what MyKey is for.

    Clunk in front end

Had them replaced on my ‘20 just recently at around 50,000. It was no big deal: just had to put up with the annoying clunk briefly, but my dealership got in the new ones pretty quick. Other than the cracked CV boots, this was the only warranty work I’ve needed since new.

    PIU struts/shocks

Nothing misleading at all. Steeda knows there are issues. Look at the pic I posted on the first page. If you powder coat a suspension part that will flex/twist/bend, the powder coating will crack and eventually flake off. To each his own.

    PIU struts/shocks

You can look it up right from the Ford Parts site, or do a search. It’s been brought up many times. If you don’t want a rusted out aftermarket bar, the PIU version is the way to go.

    2020 ST BRAKES

There can be such bad info on forums and especially Facebook groups. The service manual is clear on how to go about the procedure.

    Catch Can OEM Part Numbers

You can easily look up the part number on the Ford parts site. What’s on the tag isn’t the part number, it’s the engineering number which is not the same. That being said, a dealership isn’t going to care about a catch can.

    FP black lug nuts

Ford Performance sent out a new set, but I won’t end up using them. The stock lugs are fine for now and still look new.

Updated FORScan sheet for 2020-24 Ford Explorer (All Trims)

Two other good ones are being able to plug in Nav info while driving, and the fog light for turns at low speed. Can’t recall where they are in the modules since it’s been a few years since I used the program, but they were easy to find.

    FP black lug nuts

These are OE Ford lug nuts that were purchased through a Ford Performance dealer. Had them on since last January, with the wheels coming off just a couple times for some warranty service. Most of the coating has worn and many of them are bulged to the point that the socket would barely fit, if...
