Is anyone else having Parking brake malfunction issues? My indicator turned on yesterday and after I parked, it automatically engaged the parking brake. When I got back on and tried to leave it wouldn't let me disengage it. I had to have it towed to the dealership.

Mine works just fine on my 2023. Maybe they just need to reprogram the parking brake.

Turns out that it's the ABS module.

That’s a first for me about hearing that issue on a 2023.
Thanks for the update.

Very upset.............The dealership installed an ABS module and booster but the vehicle has been at the shop for 3 weeks waiting on Engineer's to create software to calibrate the module. The dealership's techs have contacted Ford but Ford has not responded. Anyone have any idea how I can contact Engineering and not customer service? I'm sick and tired of hearing "there are no updates on your case"

That's a load of poo
There is a procedure to purge and bleed the abs system..it's in the shop manual and a laptop. Definitely call 1 800 ford and raise some level of concern.
There is also a software load for abs system
Somebody is playing hard to get, or they are dragging out a warrant claim, because they used up the hours ford Wil pay.

UPDATE: Vehicle still remains at the dealership. The service advisor and the service manager have no reply from Ford engineering on the software to calibrate the ABS module. This is RIDICULOUS!!!!! I have tried every avenue to get a hold of someone at Ford other than customer service but I have been totally unsuccessful. Does anyone have any contact numbers I can try?

Can you believe that my vehicle has been at the dealership in service since August 30th????!!!!!! It seems that they still can't find anyone at the engineering dept to update or create a software to calibrate an ABS module. The service dept at the dealership has tried contacting Ford multiple times but they never reply. This is sooooo upsetting!!!!!!

Sorry you are having issues with this. Maybe you should try another dealership?

That does not make sense the abs module load is in fdrs, as is the bleed procedure
Somebody is full of bull muffins if it's actually an abs module update, etc

The funny thing to this whole ordeal is that no one has contacted the dealership with any progress or at least a "we're working on it" BS. I've called other near by Ford dealerships and the service advisors tell me that if the dealership where it's at now doesn't have the software updaye, it would be the same anywhere else. So basically, I'm at the mercy of Ford engineering.

Nope
Your asbuilt files have what version etc
The abs procedure is in FDRS. System all ford licensed ford dealers use.
They csn see if your old module had updates
..which by default would be loaded ..if it was the most updated version, otherwise the most upto date is loaded
Somebody is either not using correct wording in correspondence or they are inept
Did you escalate the issue to fords main help line...or are you waiting on dealer to do it
Abs module and abs actuator are 2 separate items
Module comes with no loaded software
That way fdrs loads the most current software to the module
