Personal thoughts are better than what the professionals say Slick? Have you read any thing that has been posted? Please do and you might learn from it.

What tire pressure do you guys use? Taking delivery from the dealer the tires were set to 44psi but the door sticker and Ford Pass app claimed it should be 31psi. Recently over the weekend I noticed the Ford Pass app is now calling for 33psi. Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?
Well this is why we’re all chatting about this issue at hand it is very confusing most owners has had their Explorer ST delivered to them with tire pressure at 46 to 48 psi !!
Why is the question ?? I think brain storming with other owners is the best way to resolve this important question !

According to my Ford Master Mechanic, the excess tire pressure is purposeful to prevent flat spots as the vehicle sits prior to sale and delivery.

The dealership is supposed to adjust, in this case, to 33psi before handing you the keys.

the reason pressure is high from a dealership/production is due to the fact it may sit on the lot for some time, if the pressure was too low, it could cause flat spots and tire damage.
lowering the pressure to 31-33 PSI should have been done as part of the PDI and Delivery.

dealership(s) are just lazy and most of them don't do it.

The thread is almost 3 years old…I’m guessing they figured it out by now.
