Hey Guys, I did a quick “Lazy” search on the forum and didn’t see anything so I figured I would post. I had my 2020 in for some service 2 months ago at the dealership, the body control module crapped out and had it replaced. I was talking with the service tech who is my next door neighbor about how my driving style is different from my wife’s as she uses it as her daily and I drive it on weekends and the transmission is constantly trying to learn how to shift based on adaptive learning. Long story, he disabled adaptive learning and it shifts like one would expect…. Still has the same quirks, skip shift ect. I would suggest if you share your Explorer and have different driving styles, to have your service tech disable adaptive learning. Took him ten minutes so you may have to pay for an hour of labor but to me it’s worth it. Hope this helps.
