I'm looking to get some tires for 20" rims and there doesn't seem to be a lot in the size I want. I want wider tires so was going to go with a 295/45 but the selection is really limited. I know to stay away from the Toyo Proxy's and Continental CrossContacts so that brings it down to:

Goodyear Eagles (Haven't heard a lot of good stuff about these)
Atturo AZ50
Arroyo Grand Sport AS (Never heard of)
Nitto 420V (Decent from what I've heard)
General G-Max (Used General Grabber AT/X tires on my truck, pretty good)
Pirelli Scorpion Verde or Zero, P-Zero (All run-flat and expensive)

There is more of a selection going to a 285/50 but they are not as wide. Anyone running a 295/45 and if so, what do you have?

I'm going to go with 295/40/20 when I get my summer wheels and tires going, Also I have had a great experience with Continentals in the past I'm probably going to get them for the ST when I get my wheels. I've heard the Proxys were decent too.

295/40/20 is a very short tire. The 295/45 is a much better choice.

Ill look into the 45s too, thanks for the info!

After looking in my cart I actually have 45s I just mis-typed.

The 245/40 is almost 2" shorter than OEM. I did find that the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 comes in a 295/45 so that's what I'm probably going to go with.

I know a lot of people are looking at the Atturo's, seem like a pretty decent tire for the price.

They do look like good tires but they can’t be used in cold weather. If I decide to keep my stock wheels, I could just swap them out when it starts getting cold. I just don’t really have a place to store wheels during winter and summer.

After doing some research it seems the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus are decent tires. I wasn't impressed with the CrossContacts but these seem to get a lot of good ratings and reviews. I think I'm going to try them out.

The ExtremeContacts are great tires from what I’ve heard.

Like I posted elsewhere…if you shop at Discount Tire their Control Contact Sport SRS+ is their house version of the DWS06 and usually cheaper. The tread pattern is different but you can see the similarities side by side…otherwise it’s the exact same tire.

Closest one to me is in Winstonville. I did look online but they didn't come up for a 295/45R20. Are they only sold in stores?

They’re online too. That may be one of the few sizes they don’t have yet. They closely followed the DWS06 available sizes.

I run the General Gmax 295 45 20 and I love them. Great tire all around, zero complaints so far.

I called them and you’re right, they don’t have the size I want.
