Have a 22. Noticing a subtle single click sound sometimes at take off or going from drive to reverse. I notice it more when going into reverse. Could this be a CV joint or something else?

The rear axle splines may need to be lubricated.

Known issue. Rear axles may be overtorqued, need an washer (literally that simple sometimes), or need to be lubed.

Lubing the splines never hurts imo. That was a standard maintenance thing on my company trucks. I’ve seen them bone dry before.
