H&R Springs & Bora Spacers Installed!

Finally had my H&R springs and 1.25" Bora spacers installed. I LOVE the look and feel of this setup. Great stance and better handling overall.

It just takes on a meaner more sinister look.

Night and day difference!!! I'm getting so anxious waiting on the HR to be available again. Almost ordered steeda last night but this just reminded me to wait

It does look meaner... Looks great! Did you do spacers all around? Any new vibrations in the steering wheel due to the spacers? I just placed a large mod order this morning that included H&Rs. I'm now on the list of people waiting for them to arrive. :giggle:

did you have to cut/trim your stock studs? does the Bora kit come with nuts? mind telling a little bit more about what was involved?

it would be extremely hard to tell the difference between the two. i have the Steeda springs and parked side by side, another owner with H&R springs and myself couldn't tell which truck had H&R and which had Steeda.

I have Bora 1.25" spacers on the rear of mine and you do not have to cut the studs. I put 1" spacers on the front and I had to cut about 0.25" off the stock studs to get the wheels to sit flush with the spacer.

The Bora spacers come with their own set of nuts and you reuse your stock ones.

Zero vibration after about 2 weeks of having them. Drives like normal.

I did 1.25" all around. Studs did not have to be cut at all. Installed in minutes.

No new vibrations, actually rides more smooth with wider stance and lower frame.

Any concerns with premature wheel bearing wear/failure with that much new offset?

Any concerns with lack of thread engagement with standard lug nuts if I were to remove the spacer at a later date? The ultimate goal is to get 22" wheels with proper wide offset and this is more of a band-aid until then, but I wouldn't want that missing 1/4" to bite me down the road.

I too would like to get wider wheels down the road. But I don't see that happening for awhile. I do not have any fear from cutting the studs. I only had to remove 2-3 threads. Should still be plenty down the road.

so motorsport-tech's website isn't super clear about it but the Bora spacers are aluminum and the Stahl spacers are the steel ones. The "usual" rule of thumb is that you use aluminum spacers for high rpm/high speed applications and steel spacers for low speed/high torque applications.

I ordered steel originally, talked to owner and he said steel was not needed on that vehicle. Rec steel on big F-150 trucks and what not.

These things come in right around 5000lbs. There are F150’s that weigh less. A new CCSB 2wd F150 is just over 5000.

Wow the lowering is awesome!!! I will definitely do that....all you need is to change the springs with the H&R or Steeda?? nothing else needed??
