My salesman says the undercover came only with the Limited's and if I want it I will have to pay for it. Just checking if this is a true statement or not.

Pretty much true. They were hit or miss but some ST’s originally came with them. I added it to mine.

My dealer installed the rear air deflector for me free of charge about 2 months after purchase, last February. Recently I have in fact noticed in videos of the 2021 model the part is still not there.

When I purchased mine I had a list of items to check prior to drive off. Rear deflector, fuel funnel and front tow bolt, amoung others. All had to be ordered. When they came in dealer installed. As sales guy and I were scavenging other models to find some of the stuff we came across a cargo net. He asked if I wanted it so I took it. About the only freebie I got for a 60k spend.

Mine did not come with it either, but when the salesman and I looked under the 11 ST they had in stock, 4 had it. His manager didn't want to provide one until I pointed out, on the showroom floor in front of other customers, that it was a part that cost them $60.00 and I was spending $60,000.00. Mine was also missing the tow hook, driver's side seat belt lower trim and the insulation pad on driver's side strut tower. Out of those only the seatbelt trim was important to me.

I got the air deflector, vanity panel for the left front strut and the tow hook (we have the thread for it)

FYI they deleted the thread for it late last year.

SSM 48983 - 2020 Explorer/Police Interceptor Utility - Front Recovery Hook - Built On Or After 14-Nov-2019
Some 2020 Explorer/Police Interceptor vehicles built on or after 14-Nov-2019 may not be equipped with an installation point behind the front fascia to mount a front recovery hook. The installation point was deleted as a running change. The vehicle is not misbuilt. The addition of any parts would not be considered a warrantable repair. Do not submit a claim for this condition.

A picture or diagram would go a long way in understanding this...

I looked up this part # (L1MZ-7811778-A) on a local Ford Dealer site and it states it does not fit the 2020 Ford Explorer ST. Checked by model and by VIN. It fits the other models, just not the ST. If anyone finds otherwise, please correct me.

Dphan67's post above says 4 ST's out of 11 had the cover.

The part numbers came from the Missing Parts post in the Maintenance, Warranty Issues & Trouble section of this forum.

It fits. I have it installed.
Thanks for the update confirming it fits. I just checked 12 2020 Explorers at my local dealer and none had the undercover installed.

Not trying to pry, just curious -
So did you just say 'hey this is missing from my ST, can you please order / install ?' and they said 'sure!' or was there some 'negotiation' about whether or not these are supposed to be installed from factory on 2020 models?
