When sanding the brown weld heat marks off your stainless exhaust snowballs....

Exhaust is finally complete. Cleaned up the weld discoloration and buffed everything and touched up the paint on the tips.

I did get Borla resonators for mine but my local Midas didn't have a tig welder so I sent them back as I was afraid someone would dick up the S-type system trying to install the resonators. The Borla S-type burnt-in tone is growing on me.

I did get Borla resonators for mine but my local Midas didn't have a tig welder so I sent them back as I was afraid someone would dick up the S-type system trying to install the resonators. The Borla S-type burnt-in tone is growing on me.
That cover cleans up with a water hose...it’s been raining a lot lately. I washed it this afternoon and it’s good as new...and I actually like that it hides the diff. It’s functional too....really firms up the rear bumper cover with it’s installed.

No, I dialed the 1/4” difference out with a rear camber adjustment to -.5*.
it’s also still on 305’s...315’s just flat don’t exist right now.

I swear I’m a glutton for punishment and for some unknown reason I actually like messing with exhaust systems...I love experimenting. Now that I have everything exactly how it should be and sounding great...I ordered a pair of Vibrant 1136 mufflers to try out back. I just gotta know what they sound like. lol

I already have more black tips and mandrel bends so I’ll just cut the Magnaflows off at the weld and fab these in from there. If they suck I can reverse it with 1 cut and weld.

I'm curious to hear how this sounds when you get it done. Someone else on here did Vibrants as well and they sound pretty good.

And I am with you about the exhaust.....seriously no pun intended...but its a major component in setting the tone for the car!

Thanks. With a 22x10.5 at +30 offset and a 305/35 the fenders should be absolutely stuffed full of wheel. The H&R drop springs will help too.
Would 305/40r22s fit this setup?

More deadener for the next couple of days. Tessa tape on everything that’s not wrapped already, butyl rope in the voids between the crash bars, CLD and CCF.

Barely but it’s been done.
It’s my wife’s daily driver and I am debating if it’s worth the added sidewall, plus the availability of that size seems to be more than the 305/35s - but if it’s pushing it on fit, maybe I’ll stick with 305/35s

Yeah, I need me some of that insulation/deadner. I've got an annoying buzz/vibration in the driver side door just with the factory audio. Although I think the factory audio isn't horrible, this is definitely making me want to upgrade!
